Glad to be joining the ranks finally! This car is amazing. What I wanted and more. Hoping to grow with my FX and gain all the knowledge you've guys have got! Thanks ahead for welcoming me.

I've got the black 2008 FX45. Looking to have some small mods done and any mechanical mods you guys recommend to noobs to the FX game

Good for you, 2008 fx45 (liquid copper though) is my next ride, been looking around and have not come across one yet, I am giving up the old 2004 fx45 and she knows already :), she has been a bad girl with countless issues but behaved a lot lately, but I am giving her up anyway.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Loving the car so far (and the luxury of not having to manually shift gears when I'm too lazy to hahaha).

The reason I switched from my STi to my FX is that the STi felt more like a coupe than a sedan. I needed more room in my vehicle for my snowboards and all my sports gear and just for the sake of having more breathing room. I didn't want to give up the sporty feeling but wanted more luxury as well so the FX45 massively appealed to me!

The transition so far has been great. I learned on a bigger vehicle before turning to my Subie but this is great. Love how it picks up. I will start posting pictures of my mods to it soon. Thinking of wrapping it in a matte 3M vinyl...but after reading a lot of the threads a lot of people are spectacle about that haha

Ok ..... I am new to IS as well and looked at your post .... $240.00 for the kit ... is that a good price ..... how noticeable are the shift differences ... ??? Thanks
 
After 190k on your03 FX45, should feel that there is a lack between gear. This kit will eliminate that lack. The real cool thing with this kit is that if you're just driving normally, it shift nice and smooth and you don't even feel it there, of course the lack is is gone. When you're in a spirited driving mode and you stomp on the accelerator, you will feel it pull and lunge forward. It really enhance the fun factor more if you add paddle shifter with the kit.
