a lot of people were saying the strut bars hit the roof but i think that was just a 1st gen problem. Painting the bottom of the strut mounts would raise the mounts higher.

You mean hood? - I think they come painted? So you mean don't paint them more because that will raise it enough to hit the hood? Gotcha.
I dont remember having that issue.

i think it was an issue on the original STbs for the 1st gen. Not us 2nd gen
