any noticeable difference with lower 4 point brace or any other lower brace

A lot of people have the front strut bar and says it gives it a good feel, what about the lower 4 point and two point brace

Thanks dracula. So you got the front strut bar for the engine and a rear lateral? im thinking about going that route so the car is balanced and then maybe get a tie or the 4point. Did you ever get the mid or rear tie?

yeah they're both fairly cheap. Would it be a bad thing to get strut bars and a rear lateral before getting coil overs?

i would get strut bar asap, get coils after. You can hold off on the other braces

I have all the braces and they make a huge difference with or without a drop. I would recommend getting them all. Worth every penny IMO

Thanks guys. I think ima get the strut and lateral and then see how it goes form there. I been waiting for a long time to get coilovers but no camber kits :(. I think ima just get a ark exhaust this summer and just save up until megan racing comes out with their camber kit if they are making one.

the only time i felt the lateral brace was cornering really hard and driving spirited, the major improvement so far i felt was with strut bar

I had all of the braces on my 05 and you can feel the diff, problem is it takes away from the ride comfort a bit because you are really stiffening up the chassis - mixed with stiffer spring it kind of changes the entire ride of the car.

If you want to stay more on the cushy luxury side, I wouldn't do all of them and springs

if you get coil overs and set them correctly however, that's another story.

Thanks for the input. I put in the order for the front strut and the rear lateral. Ill get them installed when theres some nice weather outside.

very nice. I would go for the rest eventually if you're hankering for more mods.

Yeah, probably will. This summer im thinking about getting the ark exhaust installed then work on getting coilovers. I was thinking about painting the strut mounts since they're blue. Is some sanding, primer, and krylon okay?

I have only the 4 point in right now. still waiting for a replacement of the mounting plates for the strut bar.

Do you notice any differences with the 4 point? Is ur strut bar hitting ur hood? I guess i shouldnt apply paint to the bottom.

The STB should not hit the hood
The 4 point is better for overall - it's not really something you will feel by itself per se - it is just making the chassis stiffer, less body flex, etc. You do not really feel that as the driver. all of the bars together is what makes the entire right sportier, and lets the FX take turns and handle much better.

on mine the mounting plates hit the hood. (the foam liner is in-between, but it still pushed on the hood to make it slightly higher, which annoyed me greatly.)

The ride felt better with both, but less so without the stb. (I went from nothing to both to just 4 point.)

Definitely don't paint the bottom. not sure on the 2nd gen, but 1st gen is super tight fit.

My strut bar doesn't hit the hood at all, fits perfect

Im still not sure what you mean by "paint the bottom"

a lot of people were saying the strut bars hit the roof but i think that was just a 1st gen problem. Painting the bottom of the strut mounts would raise the mounts higher.
