My dash has cracks every where.

Infiniti here in houston wont change bubble/crack warranty.

the quote me for a new dash replacement over $2000, so i said no.

i went to a shop here, they told me they will take the dash out and patch some stuff and than wrap it and there should be cracks?

anyone ever got there dash done like that here in IS?

sw infiniti did mine under warranty when it just got some bubbles around the ac vents. are you still covered by the extended-warranty on the dash and/or what was their reason for denying the work?

no i am not. 1st time they denyed me casue i had an ipod adapter so they gave shit about how they cant replace it and blah blah

It looks like he'd be out of extended warranty since it's 8 years and 96k. His is an '03.
yeah. :(

Yeah unfortunately that dash warranty was only good for 8 years. Mine didn't bubble but got two cracks on both ends by the speakers. Easy fix but still annoying.
The wrap might be a bit tricky on the top part since it's foam based, and wonder how they'd get the bubbles off.
Wether that or buying a used one on eBay etc.

I have seen entire dashes on eBay. Don't know how bad shipping would be though. Or you can look on some of the online junkyards. Or even Craigslist (hit or miss); but I once parted out a wrecked TSX for a friend down to window glass. I remember having to pull his entire dash and ship it to CA from GA via Greyhound. So you never know.

Wrapping it would probably be an easier option. Any auto interior shop can do it and make it look nicer than stock. The replacement dash looks cheaper than the original dash after the recall. So if you just did it in leather or something, it would end up nicer.

Wow. That looks great. This is the guy with the white FX, right?

Yes it is, He's in the process of redoing his whole interior to black to match his theme. His seats will have suede in the middle and leather with double stitching as well. He's now looking into getting a twin turbo. He's thinking of going with the JWT unless someone tells me there's a better one for the fx. I had him browse on here with me yesterday and he really liked your FX Zebra

Very nice. Post so me pictures when it's all done.

PS does he have a wheat interior by any chance?

Yes he has a wheat interior and is changing everything to black, carpet, set belts and he is painting what he can't find in black. Worked great for me as he gave me his wheat floor mats and other wheat pieces he's buying in black. I will definitely post pics once his interior is done
