2010 Fx35
Couldn't find anything on the forums that's recent. Are there any new CAI's that fit the 2010 2nd gen perfectly or with small modifications? Also anyone have any vidoes of a fx35 with a muffler delete or something similar. I found a few fx50s and they sound mean as hell, don't think a v6 could sound like that. Doesn't sound like rice does it?

There is no CAI available for the 2nd gen, only short ram. The short ram even loses HP, so no point.

If you want an exhaust don't do the muffler delete on a V6, get a CBE like Ark or Invidia.

The Ark sounds like a beast on the 35. If not on here, google it, there's a sound clip floating around somewhere.

No small mods to fit like a g35 or 37 intake just for sound?

I heard ur sound clip it sounds amazing. I found another one with a 35 and it sounded kinda ricey

Unfortunately there are no viable options for the 2nd gen FX that have real performance benefits. On the 370z and the G37 there are a few that had marginal performance benefits but had some tradeoffs. The only brand I know that actually tested with a 14hp gain on the 370z is the AEM CAI. I was thinking of picking one up and modifying the sensor placements to accomodate the FX but this will prove impossible without a machining tool. Outsourcing this will prove to be cost prohibitive without any insurance of getting the same performance gains as in the Z.

There should be options soon, a little bird told me. Actually a raven from Winterfell.

If Anyone wanted to purchase 2 maf to try it out. I have some aluminium machined spares from the Manta Ray and would be happy to help an ambitious iS member? PM me...

Best bet for a true CAI is to go custom with proper intake piping, heat shield/wrap, etc. However people usually dont want to go that route.

If you just care about "sound" (and making your engine run worse and have less power) short RAM are avail.

It may be possible to make some of the g37 extended CAi intakes fit but there will probably need to be a few mods. I was thinking of doing this on the FX50 but figured it wasn't worth the effort unless I was going to get the tune.
