DIY VIDEO!! Replacing/installing fog light bulbs/HIDs w/out REMOVING FENDER MOLDINGS.

Quick video I shot today showing that there is actually quite a bit of room on the 2nd Gen for a fog light bulb replacement or HID installation without actually having to remove the fender molding above the wheel wells. I removed all of the fasteners across the bottom of the front bumper AND THE TWO FASTENERS THAT HOLD THE BACK OF THE PLASTIC THAT PROTECTS THE OIL PAN (I didn't show those two removed) but I did remove them so I could completely remove that portion of plastic. It literally takes 10-15 minutes to remove all of the screws and plastic push clips. Going in this way is very easy IMO as long as you jack or raise the car up enough to have room to extend your arms. I actually am able to get both arms in, I didn't do it in the video because I had to hold the camera, but on the drivers side I use both hands because the bulb's wire harness is short. On the passenger side the bulb's wire harness allows you to pull the bulb all the way out and let it hang down a few inches. Anyway, I hope this video helps to ease the mind of anyone who has wanted to change fog bulbs or install HID's on their 2nd gen themselves but has been leery about it because it's been said that it can only be done from the side of the vehicle through the wheel well. Enjoy!!

Great info bro, ride is looking sick like always

I think I was the first to watch this video. Thanks for it. Keep up the great work!

No prob, it's easier this way and you can look at everything wide open as opposed to reaching in with one arm and feeling around like I would assume you would have to do going in from the wheel well fenders.:good:

This was a great DIY, gonna use it to replace the fog HID and housing on my own. Anyone know what brand fog light housing I can order to replace my factory ones? Any links would be appreciated. My OE fog housing is ruined.

Don't know if I'm going to do the HID kit for my fog lights or just replace the bulbs for brighter bulbs.

Great video, I'm not sure if this can be done with the front spoiler installed since it is bolted to the under bumper.

It can you just take off the corner piece bottom and go through the wheel well...
possible but you could not do it the way the video says by pulling down the under part of the bumper with the spoiler bolted to the bottom of it.
