Which Exhaust setup do you Prefer?

Im not looking to spend much on exhaust. what are some mods/exhaust systems that dont break the bank? Im looking for a nice throaty sound but i want the car to be heard(if you know what i mean)

You could remove the muffler and go straight pipe? Roughly like $200 i think

have you heard that in person? i've seen videos where it doesn't sound clean one bit. but that can also be from the quality of the camera recording.

nismo s-tune has to be custom fitted:

price wise, it's not the cheapest and more labor involvement given it's Stainless Steel fabs.

extend tips and get a g35 midpipe extender. for best results, get a new ypipe or any that host a 3" outlet.

I had the magnaflow on my FX. I've had magnaflow on 3 other vehicles and it sounded great. It just doesn't work on the FX, it really quiets the growl. I switched it out and went Stillen.

If you want it loud and mean, get the flowmaster rear end.

I have been browsing through a lot of exhaust threads and I have a question that seems fitting for the most part in this thread.

Correct me if I am wrong; but i seems like, exhaust systems/options with no modification necessary for the FX35 come from Borla, Invidia, HKS, Nismo... OR you can buy any exhaust system fitted for a 03-07 G35 or 350Z and make it work with the addition of an extension pipe to account for 4-6" of shortness.

Is this right?

in my case of the nismo upgrade for the 06+ fx35 awd, the below were modified from OEM nismo stune:

- new y-pipe with 2.5 inlet to 3.0 outlet (check ebay)
- g35 mid-pipe 3" extension required (check ebay)
- nismo exhaust tips, extend to your likings (with Stainless Steel) otherwise it's way too short for the FX body and rumbles .
