Fun Track Day at Willow Springs Intl

Oh, OK. Now I remember, & good memory. First thought was a pic that would explain the mangled bar.

& yes, full respect to the FX after a few laps. People are always curious. Several comments recieved was that it was one of the best sounding cars at the track. No blazing speeds, but that Nismo offers plenty of drama

Ahhh. That old question. I cant really say. If it were a wet track, then no question, AWD. In the dry? . . I would think the RWD is going to outperform. Less weight & power loss through the running gear. But that's just speculation. I never had a problem with lack of grip. Maybe in a couple areas, but that would be due to driver error. If I had a 45 with the same suspension setup, I would have seen slightly better times. This is a horsepower track. Very quick with long sweepers & straights. I was getting passed on every run. My saving grace were the turns, where no one tried to overtake me. The FX flies in the curvies. Complete respect by everyone that followed.

We were given transponders for timing. Great for tracking your improvement through the day. I stood about in the middle of the field. Doesnt say much though for comparison sake. There were some pretty fast cars out there that I was passing. Some guys were either not pushing it, or didnt have the skillset to use their equipment.

Definitely, a fun track. I was there about a year ago with a WC team for winter testing. I rode in race Porsche and Corvette around the track - it was amazing... At a brake, me and my friend took a rented Altima on the track :rotfl: pedal to the floor all the way around, and I don't think I had to use breaks once... Would be cool to take FX there
 
Thursday, November 7
Shout out to anyone that dares to bring their FX out for a track day at Willow. Limited to 25 drivers & there are only a handful of spots left. All day . . as much as you want. 2 running groups of 12 each.
Bit pricey @ $335-, but it will be fun, fun. It would be nice to run with another FX out there . . or you can just wait for photos & wish you went.
