BF Goodrich Gforce KDW T/A 265/50/20's (dragstrip pointers needed)

Just picked up an 06 fx35 sport AWD white with tan interior completely stock down to the paper filter. My question is what are you guys doing to launch your fx's at the track? Is my wifes car but I will be taking it to the track soon just to play with her new toy! I'm scared to do a Trans break a i'm not sure how it will hold up with all the traction... Any pointers so I don't brake it will be appreciate

You are not using drag radials so you're not getting that much traction plus with the V6 I think you'll be fine. Hold the brakes down hard, rev to 4000rpm and go!

Have fun!

Lol,I won't be taking her fx to the track all the time, That's what my V is for...

Thanks for the info man... Any shifting techniques, or just keep it in drive?

Btw, what's the fattest tire I damn put on the stock 20 rim?

I didn't mean fastest on this forum,I mean fastest that someone knotted about... They all look miss to high 15s but wonder if anyone has dipped into the 14s with no mods.. I can't find anything that says it's been done

only down hill :)

in order to shave 1/2 a second off of everybody else's best effort you either have to A, do something to reduce the et's, IE: mod's, or B, everyone else would have had to pretty much sucked and you wind up doing so much better... in short there's no practical way to make your car 1/2 a second faster without modding it in some way, shape or form.

Gotcha... So stock form and i'm looking at mid to high 15s... What mods would I need to get her to high 13s? Would I also need to bulk up the Trans?

Also, wiki said that we have some forged internals so how does it hold up to juice?

SC'ed...

Look at the thread that was posted. It gives you idea of what it takes to make an FX go fast.

If you have an AWD, your probably going to be looking at duplicating Rookies setup and you will be about mid 13's. MAYBE...

impossible to dup rookies unless u got lots of money

Well, actually have a question myself that may help answer yours. Is the trans in the fx45 the same as the one in the 35? I know they are both 5 speeds but did they beef up the 45's trans at all?
