jdTrader's FX50S :: 2009 Infiniti FX50S

Gave the FX a wash before heading to Three Rivers MI. Rented a cottage with a very large private lake. Plan to do some serious fishing tomorrow! :)

Wow that's great!! Nothing like the good ole outdoors.

FX is looking clean! Now when are those mods coming.
He's an expectant father Aaron, in a month he is going to be very busy, with other priorities. The mods will come, but right now he has higher priorities, I've been there.

OMG that fx is shiny!

Thanks! Surprisingly, I just washed it and the water still beads on the car. Last time I clayed, waxed, and sealed it was 2011 Fall before winter!

I think most people seal then wax. I actually wax then seal and I think that makes a difference. Around October/November 2011 I:
1. Washed it
2. Clayed it.
3. Meguiars Clean wax (really cleans the paints)
4. Meguiars Polish wax (removes fine scratches, etc)
5. Meguiars Nu Tech 2.0 wax (I really like this wax as it goes on and off really easily and works very well) So easy, I waxed it twice.
6. Blackfire sealants twice (waiting at least 8 hours in between). This sealant chemically bonds and the longer you have it sitting, the better unlike most products you just wait until it hazes and then take it off. This stuff will haze after 15 minutes, but it's recommended to leave on for 8 hours or longer as the longer you can leave it on the more it chemically bonds the polymer charges. I left it on for a good half day both times.

Car still feels like a baby's but, beads, and still holds some shine I think considering the number of times I've washed it with powerful soap and it being almost 10 months.

Excellent Jonas.
What are you fishing for, and make sure to post pics.

I will for sure!

I'm fishing for anything that will bite my line, but I hear primarily bass, crappie, Perch. Any suggestions Wayne? :smile (2):

Oh, I forgot to mention. A Michigan state trooper pulled me over while heading over here. Caught me going 12 over (and that was after about 1 full second [maybe 1.5 seconds] of me slamming on my brakes) because it was about 1 second until my radar went from nothing to full Ka band after I spotted him and he spotted me speeding (he obviously only turned it on when he needed to know my speed).

2-3 weeks ago installed front lip, tinted rear hatch, and had my installer do a viper install.

I was going to post earlier with 2 other electrical mods in the works, but since its taking longer than usual with the other 2 mods, I figured I'd update you guys on what has been done.

Here is a video from about an hour ago I took...

With the viper, you can also check the temperature of the car through the remote, check status of all like how much time left of the car being on from the small remote, etc. But biggest benefit I like other than being able to remote start it or lock it from a mile away or whatever is a blue light blinks to deter thieves and climate control is on and seat coolers or warmers on if you want. During winters will be nice to step in a warm car with warm seats and vice versa during hot summer days! :)

That's awesome, what's the model of the Viper system?

It's the top viper model that does not have the big LCD screen of a remote. I didn't want to carry a big remote along. These remotes are 2-way and much slimmer than even our factory remotes which is nice. I could had also had the remote start hooked up with OEM remote at no charge but the range is horrid, no 2-way confirmation, and doesn't include all the other features of the remote. It's comes with a 2nd remote for free so Kim has one on her key chain too.

Viper just updated their product line so if u go to their website, it's the model right under the LCD remote model. But like I said I held it and it was thick and big so I passed since I keep my keys in my pocket.

Also I think the older vipers u had to press the start button so it goes from ACC to on before pressing the brake to go, but new viper u don't need to like how I show in the video and u hear that when I press the brake the viper alarm disengages. Gotta press the brake to shift from park anyway so it's full automatic! :)
