I have to do the same thing. The body shop suggested black as rock chips would not show as bad with the darker color.

Well.... if I was adding a lip like the OEM I'd want it to match, chips be dammed
Seems to me black would kind of defeat the purpose of the look (ie an extension of the body).Of course on the blue it might be different but I just can't see black on platinum graphite (my color) over going with the same color.

If I remember correctly Jimmyij has the iridium blue like I do and they do not offer that color. I bought the whole kit and had to get it repainted and it sucked but well worth it in the end
That's a drag. I am guessing the blue is a rarer color on our cars then? Out of curiosity how much was the repaint?

It doesn't matter really what color you get because you have to get it repainted anyways.

Why would they request to get black when it has to be repainted? Doesn't make sense?
I am having it repainted. Even when they repainted, they do not sand all the way back down to the base. By having the black as a base, it would show the chips less with the blue. Yes it sucks that we have to buy a painted piece to get it repainted. I am having the back end painted as well. I already have the infamous liscense plate scratch. I am going to apply the clear bra on top to help with minor scrapes

Oh I see makes sense Jimmi. BTW Santiago I see that you have a 2010 Model so you can get your color exact match without repainting. The 2012-2013 models are different colors and Infiniti doesn't offer the lip or the whole kit in the newer colors, so just find out your paint code, order, install and your set to go bro.

One more question, so my fog lights, the Glass is completely pitted, while I am adding the lip, may as well replace the glass. Do you know if when you order the lip if the black surround comes with it, probably not.....and should I goto the Silver surround in the later models ?

My order was cancelled due to incorrect pricing? Anyone else have their order cancelled?
Uh oh! I was worried this might happen. I just placed my order for one as well. I spoke with someone on the phone yesterday (to see if they had Iridium Blue) who said something to me along the lines of "that pricing seems lower than our cost. That can't be right" so I placed my order right away! Let's hope mine doesn't get cancelled either....
