Opinion: headers or shift kit

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Maybe a prayer is in order.

As for headers, between Stillen and DC what are most choosing? Ceramic or SS? I move between two cities yearly (theyre about 22hrs apart) therefore the FX does hit the road a few times a year where i'm driving 10 hrs straight (with maybe 1-2 stops for gas), would having the SS headers be of concern? I don't want to be worrying about the ceramics cracking on me either?

I did pick up the shift kit, just need to find someone to install it now.

On the headers I went with quality stainless and then had them ceramic coated for heat containment.

im searching and dont know what the transgo shift kit is for? what does it do? benefits? when should you do it?

It's for the transmission...basically replaces the stock internals with stiffer springs so you get much shorter shifts and quicker response. You will notice the
shifting won't lag as much and is more immediate. People usually do it when adding more hp...turbos, superchargers, etc. to beef up the tranny.
I have had mine done for about 4 yrs and it is really noticeable at first but now I'm used to it...

thanks brah! from what i read and hear it seems like the shifting is more rough and stiff yeah?

I wouldn't call it rough...just quicker and more responsive. I guess it's personal preference but I like to feel the car shift and with
this you will definitely feel it compared to a stock tranny...the car will def jolt more when shifting. But it also improves acceleration...

Its not hard. If you done have done some work around cars and have the time to take it slow, double check, and verifies you can do it. I know its expensive if you screw up, but if you take your time you can't mess up. I think half the battle is the mindset that you have in taking on the DIY.
