Hi and im sorry for being new here and possibly asking a question already easily answered. I tried a search and didn't find what I was looking for. I'm in the market to replace my last SUV with an FX50 09-11. Is there a list in the exact changes for the 09-11 FX50s? It would make it much easier to know so i can shop better. Specifically I want the S model. Thanks in advance.

2009-2010 models had no power lift gate.

2011 later models have the power lift gate.

2009-2010 models have a perforated leather steering wheel on the sides.

2011 and later models have just plain textures leather on the steering wheel

2009 models had a basic navigation with iPod interface and music box

2010-2011 models got a higher resolution navigation and added USB aux port

Thats it though there isn't nothing else. Everything is the same.

What about paddle shifters Aaron, do all years have paddle shifters?

All FX50 models have paddle shifters. Only on the FX35 they took it away for 2010-2013 models. Only way to get it was to buy the FX50.

2009 FX35 paddle shifters were all standard.

Heck, what a bummer, it is different in Canada, On the FX50 if you want paddle shifters you had to order the FX50S to get paddle shifters. It only came on the standard and S model in 2009. From 2010 and up you had to order the S to get them.

S models come with:

Adaptive suspension with continuous dampening control

Front sport seats with leg and thigh extension and electronic side bolsters

Dark chrome exterior trim

Rear active steering (turns rear wheels by 1 degree to aid in turn in and reduce turning radius)

S badge on rear

Dark exterior headlights

And of coarse the base models doesn't have any of these features.

Can anyone tell me besides the S being an option, what are some of the options for the fx50? What is IBA, FCW,LDW, VDC, or whatever other options there are on that side column to the left of the steering wheel? I feel bad for asking these questions but i cant seem to find any like site or definitive list of all options and packages? Just seems to me that there was the S package and everything is all included in that package but i guess there are also individual options as well? Thank you in advance.

IBA (Intelligent Brake assist), FCW (forward collision warning), LDW (lane departure warning), ICA (intelligent cruise control) are all part of the tech package

VDC (vehicle dynamic control) Vehicle Dynamic Control* uses various sensors to help determine your steered path and keep you in control. If your vehicle begins to understeer (plow forward) or oversteer (fishtail), VDC applies appropriate brake pressure to individual wheels and/or reduces engine output to help keep your vehicle on its steered path.

Did you really search, I don't think so, because I google searched just to check and most of your answers are easily found.

Those features you just mentioned is part of the technology package which is not standard on the FX50. You have to pay extra for it. The FX50 has two optional packages, the technology package and the sport package.

If you get the technology package you get:

DCA - Distance Control Assist which works in stop and go traffic to keep a safe distance from the car ahead of you by using an actuator to move the brake pedal up and down and control the gas pedal by pushing up on it to keep a safe distance from the car ahead of you. No other car in the world has this and the 2009 and up FX is the only and first vehicle to have this feature.

LDW - Lane Departure Warning works by using a camera mounted on the windshield that detects lane drift and send you an audible alert

LDP - Lane departure Prevention works with LDW by detecting lane drift and applies the brakes on the opposite side to help pull you back into the lane

FCW - Forward Collision Warning detects an impending collision and sends an audible alert

IBA - Intelligent Brake Assist works in conjunction with FCW to detect an impending collision and applies all the brakes to mitigate the impact

ICC - Intelligent Cruise Control works with normal cruise control by using the laser guided sensor on the front bumper to keep a safe distance from the car ahead of you on highway driving by decreasing engine speed. When the FX detects the car is no longer ahead of you it returns to the set speed you put the car at. If at anytime you slam on the brakes the FX cancels ICC.

Rain Sensing Wipers - Works by using a sensor on the front windshield to detect rain and automatically turns on the wipers when it senses rain on the windshield. It can also increase wiper speed depending on how hard its raining.

Pre Crash Seat Belts - Adds electronic motorized actuators to retract the seat belts in the event of an accident. Also works upon entering and exiting of the FX by electronically retracting them for you. Very nice feature!!

All I can say is the tech package is awesome. I have it on my FX35 and the just love all the features. DCA is my favorite because it actually almost drives the car for you. The electronic actuators that operate the brake and gas pedal make it look like a ghost is operating the car. My passengers never believe it until they see it. This car is extremely high tech when you option it up with the tech package.

By the way VDC or vehicle dynamic control is standard on all FX's just a part of the traction control system.

Thank you so much for that. So if the FX has any of those features to the left of the steering column its assumed it has all the features. Perfect. Now if only they had more 2010 or 2011 for sale than like the 60 some-odd ones i find in the country on cars.com and autotrader

There is one thing kind of confusing to me though. I don't have 10 posts so i cant post pictures but in two different 2010 years im looking at, there seems to be different layouts for the features that this package seems to be all inclusive for
