Hardwiring Dash Camera

The video quality is so good!! Now you got me hooked on getting one too :) any chance you can post a pic of it being installed in your FX? Thank You

I have a Blackvue DR400G-HD II new in box I'm about to put up for sale (I already have an ITB installed in my FX). If you're interested shoot me a PM and I'll cut you a killer deal:

Also, if anybody else is interested in a dash cam, I can pretty much get any model at a really good price with 3 day shipping. I used to work for a BIG Korean company and have several Korean contacts. I can get the FineVue as well, it is considered the top line but is a bit more expensive than the others.

The ITB is a great cam also and the one I run.

These cameras all come from Korea, where they have major insurance fraud and hit and run problems - hence the development. PM me if you are interested.

I will post pics of my install later today, I have it mounted behind the rear view mirror as well. There is a very convenient way to route all the wiring and doesn't require anything more than ONE panel removal. Its pretty slick.

If enough people are interested in purchasing cams I can do step-by-step mounting instructions to wire the Power Pro and hide all of the wiring in the FX, with pictures. Its very easy for almost anybody to do.

Do not refer to any sales in this thread. We have a section for items for sale and if u are looking to sell you need to post there and follow the classified rules. Please make sure to read then. This is added protection for our members.

Members are highly advised not to do any sale transactions through PM or random threads.

Did not mean to break any rules. I already inquired about becoming a vendor and got permission from a mod to discuss a group buy in a "random thread". I did not know the rules were different in different sections. Offer retracted.

InfinitiScene does not have Vendor fees. We only ask that you support the site. It does not cost hundreds of dollars to be a "vendor" on :iS2:

I know you didn't mean to break any rules. Anybody intentionally doing that would get banned.

Also, if u are a business/vendor than yes u need to become a vendor to sell items, but if you are not a vendor and just need to sell a personal item, you can simply post in the classifieds otherwise in the vendor section. If u have more questions, PM me and ill clear it up for u. You should check out both sections when u have some time.

UPDATE and SUMMARY

Wish I could add this to the thread top.

Finally hardwired the camera today.
Here is what the setup looks like:
///8278///8279///8280

The cover closed easily and in place.

Here is what the motion sensor is capable of. The gentleman is doing questionable parking job
Unfortunately even with the camera I cannot think of the way to find the person from the video. In case the contact occurred...

No problem!
Yes there is going to be a ground cable. You connect that to a screw that is located above the fuse box. Make sure to connect it tight and proper.

I see 3 wires. Red (ACC), black (Ground) and yellow (Batt).

So the Yellow goes to 'elec parts' 10A fuse
Black goes to the screw
Red goes to power socket 15A fuse

And I just realized that the fuses on these cars are way too tiny. lol Did you just stick the wire in and force the fuse back in?

That option is always available but I have decided to do it properly so it lasts. I bought fuse splitter as on the picture:///9567
