Halo/Custom Headlight Help!

Dave, here's a thread when I did my lights. Another mod you make want to think about is the switchbacks, I get compliments on them all the time. I also had the morimoto's and was concerned with the yellow look and sold them to someone on here I can't remember who. Anyway I was going to try and cut very small pieces of tape and cover the lights themselves and tint the rest of the ring. In the end I went with the flash tech led rings, I really don't mind the white look of the rings while off but I have them wired so they come on with the ignition so it really doesn't matter. Good luck with the install, I too was very nervous just take your time, be careful with glue and such and make sure they are completely sealed when finished and you will be fine!

Those switchbacks are awesome looking. But do they match the OEM HIDs? Is there any modification needed for install? And will the white LEDs be on all the time or do they just come on when the headlights are on?

In my case they match my led dtrl's and angel eyes, I also have aftermarket morimoto HL bulbs. As far as hookup I have mine wired to the dtrl's but you could hook up to the headlights if you wanted. I like the fact that I can run the switchbacks, dtrl's and angels at once without the headlights. Installation is pretty straight forward either tap into the dtrl's or headlights and then the turn signals of course, you will also need to install resistors on your hot-wire. Super easy, good luck!

So is there a separate wire for the white option and turn signal? I'm a little confused. And can any comment as to how they would match my OEM headlights?

Also, what LEDs did you use for your DTRL?

Looking forward to some pics.
2 cents: with LED's probably worth it to get good quality ones. The amount of work you're doing to install them, you will not be happy when you have to redo it in a few months when the leds start failing. I got some lower cost LED lights, and a lot of them go bad. sure the company will replace it, but not the work you have to do to install them.

I think all my lights are 8000k, as far as the driving lights and the headlights I think I bought them both at retrofit. The angels I got directly from flash tech as well as my hid fog lights. They all match very well, the headlight really won't matter because the halo's will mask them but the others need to match as close as possible. My fogs are a little off and I will probably change them in the future. As far as the switchbacks you have one lead to the turn, one to the dtrl's or HL and a ground, again it's super easy and the guy on eBay where I bought them in the link on the other post will email you instructions. Trust me if your pulling your front bumper and baking your lights the switchabacks are elementary. You can pm me and I will give you my number if you get in a jam. Also I see your in Dayton, my folks still live about 8 miles south of Cincinnati and im in Lexington, KY if things get real bad maybe We can meet up and I can help you out or if you want a come my way and see mine in person before you do yours too! Either way, I'm more than happy to help in any way I can!

Oh yeah, yes there are two leads on the switchbacks the one is for white lights to the dtrl/HL and the other for orange to the turn signals. And of course a third for ground, again order the resistors with the lights or you will have rapid flash!

Does anyone know if the headlight bulbs from a 2007+ escalade would be plug and play? I am in love with the look of the ones on mine and I want them to look almost identical to those.
