Offset dilemma and shock advice

Just make sure you get the one with studs already pressed into the spacer. Ichiba V2 or H&R DRM.

Good deal, I read thar the V1 was the preferred setup when using an aftermarket wheel with a flat mounting surface. But considering I'm going to need 25mm spacers the studs should not protrude beyond the spacer. That's my take. Hopefully this is the end of the wheel drama. Then I can tackle the grille issue.

I was hitting on both of the front calipers. I went on a hunt for adapters and had a horribly frustrating time here in Orlando. After being told I was an (idiot) buy a wheel guy for wanting adapters I decide to try and grind the small area where the caliper meet the wheel. I know that's crazy! But it worked, I took about 1 to 2 (16ths) off of the rubbing point. I felt, I was good to go bolted the wheels with hub centric rings and went for a ride. It was horrible, I could feel a tire that was cupped, balance was off and the alignment. I knew one tire was potentially bad so I ordered one (300 bucks) and had it put on yesterday. I drove it with the new tire and it was just as bad. So a grand later for three more tires and alignment, I pick up the car tomorrow. Man I hope it is worth it!

Picked up the car. It's better but I feel a bouncing movement. The guy that put them on said I need to get different hub spacers. I bought the correct ring dimension but noticed they didn't fit exactly and left space when I put the wheels on. Would a hub ring that really isn't working as it should cause the bouncing motion?

I ended up not needing a spacer. The wheel is 74.1 so I bought the ring 74.1 to 66.1. The inside diameter works fine. It looks like the outer diameter is measured by the lip or profile that flushes up to the hub, the outer lip edge would be really close but when it tapers down it leaves to much space from the wheel to the ring. I'm going to try and find a good wheel shop and see if they have rings.

wow Nebz, you have had your problems. I think for you, it would be best to take your wheel set up with your ride to a good wheel shop and let them see what you really need to run these wheels safely.

Visited a wheel shop and fit 78mm to 66.1 rings on the wheels. It helped but now the steering wheel has a wobbling effect which is very noticeable at 45mph. I'm thinking that is a tire that needs balanced but that was just done a week ago. Back to the tire shop.....
