Oil filter for FX37 AWD?

Hi,
I found that there's Bosch 3300 filter which fits G37/M37 according to Bosch web site. Since it's same engine as in my FX37 can I safely assume it would fit my car?
Or would I be better off buying Nissan OEM filter, which is basically same price?
Anybody has any feedback on the Bosch filter?

Get Penzzoil ULTRA, stock filter, and mobil 1 extended filter. - best combo for your ride and it's not that expensive in comparison.

Frankly I don't see the point in "extended" filter - I will be using Mobil oil most likely and change every 5000 miles. I am considering Bosch just because it seems like they are OEM supplier for Nissan OEM filter, and available @amazon.
What's justification for paying almost twice for Mobil filter? Filter is just a filter, I guess Mobil charges extra for the brand name.

The oil flows through it significantly better. So overall you get better performance and the tests show it. It's not just the "extension" that you get. Because most of the filters that do filter well the performance is impacted severely like the pure ones.

I use the Bosch 3300 filter, and just found out the 3323 is the taller version. I will be using the 3323 from now on. I'm not sure if JD is meaning extended as in taller/bigger, or extended as in 15000 mile oil change interval.

Short Filter / Extended (taller) Filter
K&N - HP1008 / HP1010 / HP1006
Bosch D+ - 3300 / 3323
Bosch - 3300 / 3323
Mobil 1 - M1-108 / M1-110
Pure One - P1-14612 / P1-14610
Super Tec - ST-6607 / ST-7317
Wix - 51365 / 51356

Can you provide links to these tests?

I have seen posts on bobistheoilguy that taller filters actually have worse performance, oil flows slower. The only advantage they have - they hold more dirt, but if you change every 3-5K it does not make any difference.

Extended tests I mean 15,000 miles, but like I said, I change my oil every 5,000 miles so that is not why I get that specific filter.

I think it was consumer reports that I read the tests about. However doing a quick search and one of the first links yielded the following, so take it for what it's worth as I don't remember the source, but this does mention similar facts I've mentioned:

Again, the mobil 1 extended I get ONLY because it filters that best AND mainly because it gives you 100% performance, while others don't filter well or they filter just as good but then performance is shit to the point that sometimes you will here slight noises from the oil not passing through fast enough.

Same goes with the Penzzoil Ultra. It's a great price for being the best oil you can put in your ride. I notice the difference, especially after a clean oil change and also I've done 2 blackstone oil tests and have seen the results of it from the numbers.

^ agree on Penn Ultra....great oil.

Champion Labs makes both the Mobil 1 and Bosch oil filters. I would rate the Mobil 1 and Bosch at the exact same level.... Tier 2.

Mobil 1 Extended and Bosch D+ are in Tier 1. There is a big difference between the two tier's. Tier 1 is good to drive 15000 miles. Tests have proven at 15000 miles, these filters are still working great. You can possibly, not my recommendation, run 2 5000 mile oil change intervals before changing these filters.

I am typically at the same oil change interval, 5000 miles. Agreed that Penn Ultra is a great oil, although I use Mobil 1 0W40 European Formula for the better startup protection especially since we are in the colder months now with a Purolater PureONE filter. The PureONE filters have always shown good performance at a great price and good availability.

Let me know if I am wrong but dont we have to change oil and filter at 3750 miles to keep warranty in effect for any oil/filter (lubrication) related damage?

thats if you use conventional oil, if you use synthetic then dealers now days should know 5k is the interval.

3750 oil change interval in level 1 service. That is stop and go traffic, dusty areas, and extreme temperature.

5000 oil change interval is level 2 service. This is typically used on cars that do a lot of highway miles. Also used when switched to synthetic oil.

Upon reading up on taller /bigger oil filters, I will not be using a bigger oil filter. Still going to stay with which ever of these are on sale as all of these are good for 5000 mile intervals :

Bosch 3300 and D+ 3300
Mobil 1 -M1-108 and extended M1-108
Purelator One - P1 -14612
Wix - 51365
KN - HP1008
Royal Purple - 10-2876
Nissan
