Is anyone using a Gel Battery?

I've had an Optima Yellow top D35 in my FX for a couple years now. It starts just as fast now (way faster than with the oem battery) as it did the day I installed it.

Whoa, I just have the same thing happen to me! LOL. Thanks for replying to both my posts - This one here and my exact same post on Audizine.

good to know, I might be in the market for a gel battery since the fix is still sporting the original
 
I am sporting a yellow Optima as well. Yellow tops are great for accessories like lighting, High power stereos, ect... Red top optimas are made to deliver more cold cranking amps or start up power. I have had Optimas in my last few cars and would replace with nothing else, the extra few bucks are well worth it, fwiw.
 
It never gets past -15 in Vancouver (at least where I would park my cars), I think all I need is the yellow top...

walmart here sells the red top for 208, decent price right?
