I found it on fleaBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NISSAN-350Z...Parts_Accessories&hash=item334b95d489&vxp=mtr
I have heard of their Y-pipe (good reviews) and even someone here have installed their catback. However, haven't found anything about headers. Price id very nice compared to $450ish DCSport. Also, what is main difference between Stainless Steel vs Ceramic. I know ceramic will last lesser amount of time. But what are differences performance wise?

Looks like the Megan racing and other Chinese/Taiwanese ones. Not sure about these, but on the other ones, they use very thin tubing and can crack. Since a big part of the cost of headers is in the install, I'd be hesitant. Saving a couple of bucks on the front end may not be worth having a shop pull and swap because it broke.

Performance wise, there is no difference between stainless and ceramic. Ceramic doesn't always last less time, but since it is a coating over regular steel, if it gets chipped, it will rust. Stainless won't have that issue. Ceramic coating can also reduce the heat somewhat and it's cheaper.

Overall, short tube headers aren't a great bang for the buck mod. It's one of those you do after you've done everything else and can do it yourself. Shops bill 6-8 hours of labor for a header install. If you're going to all the trouble, you might as well get long tube headers that replace the cats. They can be better designed/tuned and actually result in gains.

Thank you for reply. I was actually leaning towards DC or Nismo. Any idea where I can find long tube headers?

Well Megan makes long tubes, but I wouldn't recommend them (tons of stuff on the Z boards about issues). So avoid OBX as well, same thing. Crawford makes some, but apparently it's an older design and not necessarily optimal. It looks like right now the one to get is PPE as it's the only affordable (somewhat) true long tube option. Do a search on the Z forums, there's a huge thread about them and I believe the dyno sheets.

Yeah, our engines are non revup. In '06, they went revup on the Z's. If you do this, I'd love to see how it turns out. I don't think anyone's gone long tube on the FX35 before. I believe Logan has custom long tubes on his 45, or used to. tchuck has Stillen's on his 35.

I contacted PPE about fitment on FX35, this is what I got in response:
Hi Mike,

We haven't tested on one yet. If the factory manifolds are the same they should fit, as long as the steering shaft is in the same location.

Best Regards,
Paul Prentis

This is so tempting....
