Hello,
Im new to this forum, but ever since looking at buying this FX45 I have been mindlessly stalking these forums for hours upon hours. Now I know why my brother is so addicted to these things. Anyways, I am actually going to buy the FX45 tomorrow (hopefully tomorrow) I just wanted to ask you guys if there's some specific things i should look for? like common issues that could be there? It would be greatly appreciated!

Also, if you catch this thread a little later (after I buy it) I am also wanting to start a mod list, so if you could shoot me some good ideas/prices that would be awesome! It is Silver.

So glad to be apart of this forum! Thank you!

Congrats on a good choice!! Gotta love V8! I'd just say inspect the car, ensure everything seems to be in working condition.

Hello, welcome to the Scene. Make sure you have an Infiniti dealer perform all tsb's that are needed. As for mod ideas, check out the garage section :-)

Welcome aboard! Miles and condition - use your brain and intuition. These are good cars without any common major red flags.
Brush your teeth cause you'll be smiling a lot. Have a change of shorts incase you wet yourself with excitement.

Thanks! I'm glad it's a 45 not a 35 (even though I've heard there are more engine mods for 35) I test drove and it sounds beefy as hell even without an aftermarket muffler. I like the way the flow master 80 sounds though!

Did you get it yet? I know its still early. I have both FX35 and FX45 currently. I gotta tell you, driving the 45 is do much more fun. First thing order of mods would be suspension. Most of us change out the struts and shocks around 60K. H&R Springs, KYB struts and shocks or go all out with Coilovers. Kido, BC & Mega Coilovers are available. Not sure whats your background with cars, everyone change out their suspension are very happy over stock. Well except one member from oversea until recently. He was a bit disappointed with H&R. He misunderstood how most of us define improvement. He was looking for just the opposite of most of us were looking for from a set of sport/performance springs to say the least.

wow! Thanks for the reply! Still not mine yet but hopefully before they close today! So, if I go the coilover route I don't need the struts? Sorry for the ignorance. Also, how much do the coilovers set me back?

Haha gotta love Andy for already making the list of mods!!
You better respond and do as he says lol :)

yeah!:) God you guys are so fast and helpful! To be honest it's one of the reasons I'm buying it! I could lock myself out the car and do a quick post and in a second someone on here would show me some special trick I'm sure lol

Yep coilovers comes with struts/shocks (dampeners) Coils runs about $850 - $1000. H&R springs, struts and shocks is about $500 - $600. With coilovers, you can dial in on the height and dampening to your style.

LOL ... we all know that those ideas are not just ideas :) LOL .... next thing you know, we are all pulling resources to make it all happen.
But the fact is, you've been around FX for a good while, now two :) and have a great wealth of knowledge. <----- this guy is a walking FXpedia :smile (2):
