How Do We Find Out The ROM Version On Our ECU ?

Or does anyone know the version for a 2012 FX50 SPORT...?

I am scheduled to get my FX flashed tomorrow but Lerry at ARK told me that Stillen wasn't able to do it...Dave @ SoCal Performance wanted me to verify the ROM version...can anyone help ?

BTW...Lerry just informed me that the FX that Stillen tried was his and it was a 2009 FX35 RWD. I guess there are different ROM versions for different models too ?

Call the dealership, give them your VIN, ask for the ECU part number. 5 digit code, letters and numbers. This is the easiest way I've found so far. When they first hook up to your FX the tuner can also see the ROM.

If you're using UpRev, they currently only show this ROM as being available: 3FY7B
Should be fairly up to date because my ROM is on there now.

The number they gave me was 23710-3EU0A...Dave is saying that's not what he needs...

Does anyone know where I can find the number he needs physically in my engine bay ?

You have the right number, but Uprev only needs the second half - 3EU0A. If that is your goal (Uprev tuning), then your tuner can simply check Uprev's list of cracked ROMs for your number. If it's not on the list (it wouldn't hurt to call Uprev to make sure the list is current), then your tuner needs to perform an "ECU dump" and send the resulting file to Uprev for cracking. I've done it twice now, and both times Uprev turned it around in three days. The ecu dump is the hard part. It takes almost four hours and your car has to either be running or connected to a battery tender the whole time.

tchuck is correct, Uprev needs your ECU number and the ROM Dump from it to write a tune for it. There can be 6 or more different ECU number that have to be cracked to cover every option for each year and model of Nissan/Infiniti vehicle.
