So, finally, got out there and installed retrofitted Gen 2 Akebonos:
Difference between OEM and StopTech drilled/slotted rotors:


At the begging (OEM setup):



Spacers and calipers removed:

StopTech rotors test fitted:


StopTech rotors and StopTech SS brake lines test fitted:


Rotors and lines bolt up:


Spacers put back on:

mod log update....

1. 20" Axis Ordens (already have them, just got to mount them) [done - 2/5/2013]
2. KP Technologies reverse view mirror mod (have the unit, need to be wired in)
3. CNT high flow cats (need to install)
4. Akebono Gen. 2 caliper retrofit front [done - 4/28/2013]
5. Akebono Gen. 2 caliper retrofit back
6. Audi Q5 turn signals + SimCarbon wrap mirrors
7. Aftermarket audio unit
8. SimCarbon interior wrap (started...)
9. SimCarbon hood, roof, tailgate wrap
10. Lower the car (if I can find a shop near by who can roll my fenders)
11. Independent fog lights / swap to HID
12. Tint all around
13. 2004 bumper skid plate (la_fx35 and GetLuckeyFX inspired)
14. 2008 cluster swap (waiting on cluster to arrive)
15. Black out headlights
16. TransGo shift kit
17. Aftermarket hitch/wiring (need to be installed and wired)

Installed GTSpec mid-chassis brace. Now, if only I could get my hands on the 4-point front brace, I will have complete set

I installed Curt hitch today. Took about two hours, but the satisfaction was UNLIMITED. Stealership quoted me $650 for hitch + install. Not sure why so much, maybe because they remove the bumper for installation. I did not. Install was complicated, just had to be patient with drilling holes in aluminum bumper support, and then threading bolts into them. It did suck for inner bolts, as they lined up just inside the bolts that attached bumper support to the frame. In all, very happy with install

also got AVITAL alarm installed with Directed remote start....

and now hot a scrape on the driver side bumper..... stupid garages..... :disapointed: probably, will wrap front bumper with CF wrap to hide it....

also, started the gear shifter custom mod... I had an upgraded (06+) shifter panel, but it was partially broken when my dash got changed (I did not know it until year later), then took shifter panel to do some carbon wrapping, and it totally fell apart. So instead of getting new $70 panel, I figured I'll do something custom... Have MOMO knob to go with custom look once its complete
