Will G37 Coupe OEM Exhaust will fit our 1st Gen with little cutting and welding? Its on sale locally for $100 and if this is better flowing than the FX's stock exhaust, it might be a cheap upgrade.

Thought the exhaust note was more pronounced on the coupe exhaust??
I'm thinking this because it looks better flowing than 1st gen oem exhaust without added noise??

I have a full custom 3" cat-back exhaust and a nismo cat-back right now, I need a stock awd FX system, and I hate the post office. How have we not met??

The 1st gen FX basically has a G coupe exhaust. It's why we can run Nismo's and standard G aftermarket exhausts w/ just extending the tips. But to answer your original question, it will fit w/ mods. There just isn't much point.

That may be true for a 1st gen G coupe.

But he is asking about the G37 which is the 2nd gen G coupe so it's a different exhaust setup with totally different mounting points. The G37 coupe doesn't have a similar exhaust to the 1s gen. The G37 coupes exhaust mounting is more comparable to the 2nd gen FX.

By the way a G37 coupe exhaust sounds totally different than a 1st gen exhaust. The G37 coupe has a loud raspy sound to it where as the 1st gen had more of a growl.

Right, the 2nd gen exhaust is different, but it can work. A member here swapped a gen 1 onto his gen2, and first gens have plenty of aftermarket dual options so there is room for the pipes. It will have to be nodded to clear the rear suspension and new hangers welded. The y pipe portion is identical, the hr y pipe bolts right up.

Found some G35 coupe guys fitting G37 coupe exhaust. Seems like its pretty much bolt on by swapping G35 rear sway bar with G37 sway bar to clear the dual piping.
So.. anyone know 1st Gen FX's rear sway is interchangeable with G37 coup rear sway?

Some links to the G35 guys doing a swap
