*Brianna* :: 2008 Infiniti FX35

Wrapped and Bagged
Spotted you on IG

Haha yep. Whats your Insta Rip? Need more pictures of your car in my feed. All I see is these russian kitted 2nd gens...lol

Here's something just for infinitiscene. This is why the Air Install is taking so long:

I went a little crazy with the layout. Dual 3 gallon tanks, Dual 444C compressors, Polished Aluminum hardlines with full Black chrome AN fittings.

Should all fit neatly below the original false floor. I have a few more additions as well. But that's why the install is taking longer than originally intended.

Those are awesome serious mods you are doing and it is sure looking good.

Well.

I picked it up.

LOL.

It just looks so fucking ridiculous, its just the most hilarious thing with this wheel setup. You have never seen a car tuck this hard. There is just so much rubber, and the car just swallows it.

Gonna look way better once I get some wheels in the spring time, for now I'm pretty sure I am going to just laugh every time I look at the thing. lol

One more picture:

Our brand new CLA250. The roof line of the FX is now about 1" higher than the bone stock CLA when fully dumped out.

Dam looks dope dumped on the ground like that. With the right wheels it's going to set it off just perfectly

Wow, that is a a crazy drop. It will be killer when you get your bigger meats and new wheels in there.

Bit of a rollercoaster, figured this deserves an update. So here we go:

Paul Walker Meet end of November 2014:

The roof line is very similar to a stock sedan. My goal was to get the vehicle looking more like a wagon, overall I think it worked.

I had to test widths and offsets, and given I sold my GTR's, I had to bum a buddies Advan's:

These are only 20's, my wheels will be 22's, but it definitely helped me sort the maximum widths and offsets I would be able to run.

The lean in this picture is from the left side being on the shorter tires, and the right side on the taller winter wheels. My final setup will be in between these two heights.

And for laughs:

LOWRIDER STATUS!

Picked up a Christmas present for myself:

Rare discontinued GT-Spec Belly Pan.

Bought brand new hardware for the entire front bumper of the car:

Then I got pissed the fuck off cause the belly pan was designed for a 03-05 FX, and mine is a facelifted 08 model. Now I have to see if I want to mod the thing or just sell it and get a TBW one. :swear:

In the mean time I pulled apart my third brake light and properly re-tinted that with all the edges neatly wrapped and tucked:

I also went to clean out my engine bay with some degreaser, which ended up fucking up all the polished bits in my engine bay, despite the fact that it said okay for use on chrome. So now I have to re-polish all the pieces in my engine bay. This car is trying to drive me crazy.

On the plus side I picked up a WickedCAS box, and a JL 10W6V3 as well as a JL HD750/1. Everything should be going in near the end of January.

I also am picking up my new wheels this weekend. So I am excited to have those, but more on that later.

I like the height, too bad about the polish. But chrome isn't polish and just about anything including water messes up polish. It's annoying and I commend you for keeping a polished bay on a car you drive. I don't have the patience anymore. If I built another show car, I'd chrome everything. Friends that have gone to chrome after polish swear they will never go back. It's more money, but easier maintenance.

This was pretty much the last straw. I'm going go through it and re-polish everything one last time, only because it wouldn't be nearly as hard as the first time I went through it, but after that that's it. I'm not dwelling in the engine bay much longer.

The reason being that my car is now up there in the mileage. I mean I over 100k miles. Which doesn't seem like much, but I am not going to boost an engine with over 100k on it, especially not when the transmission and other components won't really take the power well enough. I've gone through it with a shop and for the cost of swapping out the transmission to a 6 speed, and building a spare VQ35 with turbos, I could just do something wayy cooler with the money.

I'm basically just driving the FX and enjoying it waiting for the day me or the car finally has enough, then I am going to swap in a VK56VD, with the 7 speed box. Don't know if I will keep the AWD or not, but we already figured the front end will be converted to tube frame. Seems radical, but its actually a pretty logical step.

Members on here might be the only ones who understand this, but honestly the first gen is rather perfect to me, I will literally be keeping this thing forever. So why not spend the money on it. My mentality is the exact opposite of people who lease cars. I want to keep mine forever, and I rather spend that 1000 bucks a month on making the FX as awesome as i'd like.

I always look forward to seeing your Garage and reading about your progress and mods on your ride Meme. Thanks for sharing and I'm anxious to see Brianna wearing her new wheels.
