Hippo was keyed...with a knife...

I'm actually thinking about carrying a 38 special in my car as well but what are the downsides to that especially in california? I have a beretta px4 but that thing is bulky

Jail, fines, accidentally shooting someone, starting a gunfight with someone way more practiced and with a way bigger gun... You know, the usual.

Even if I didn't kill him he would've thought twice about bringing a knife to a gun fight. Him holding the knife and threatening to stab me justifies me shooting him in self defense. Glad to be a legal pistol permit holder.
 
Personally i would of went a looked for something to throw at him like a rock and make sure i smoke him in the head.

That's ridiculous. Because he was random, I would've just given him a swift kick to the face after he stumbled not even thinking about the knife

If you're doing shows, then it was prolly a competitor.
 
Sorry to hear about the FX, isn't worth your life though. If he was hiding in the trash at least for a moment he ended up exactly where he belongs, aside from jail lol. Glad to hear your ok.
 
WOW. Just read this man. Sorry about your car and glad to hear you are not hurt. I'd be tempted to use his head as a tire stopper.
 
Damn that sucks horribly! but don't do knifes or guns in public thats just asking for trouble. Tasers is the way to go in public.. I had this drunk kid peeing on my car, and when he notice i was there he made a run for it but i chased him down and tased him and he just feinted and i called the cops.
 
Hmm, pretty sure that misuse of a taser will land you in trouble in any state. All of your "rights of self defense" diminish when the vandalism suspect turns and runs away. (Even worse legal defense against a peeing suspect. (get it? Like a fleeing suspect! Ha!)).
 
So sorry to hear of this. I applaud your restraint as well. Not enough people can reign in their rage these days. :good:
