Ridiculous I don't know what pleasure he got out of keying your ride for no reason
 
You must of pissed somebody off, people don't jut key cars without a reason.

Also, how did he do so much keying before you got out of the car? First sign of keying I would of opened the door or honked.
 
glad you did not get hurt. do you remember the look, clothing, or any identifying marks? hope they catch this animal.
 
The area where I got keyed I've never been in that place for more than 5 minutes and been there no more than 2 times. It literally was my second time going there and I was just stopping by...the suspect was a tall white guy that seemed to be intoxicated or on drugs, he was scared for his life when I was chasing after him -_-

At first when I heard the noise I was preoccupied talking with a friend, so when he first started it sounded like sprinklers hitting my car or water being sprayed at the car but when I realized that it didn't sound like a sprinkler it hit me and he had already made it to the hood

That sucks! I wouldve shot him and since he had the knife already I would have claimed self defence.

My guess is that this experience scared the shit out of him. If he was running off and threatening with the knife, then he was scared of getting caught and he might take some time off.

Sorry to hear about that, glad your alright. Definitely not worth getting stabbed. Insurance will cover it and it'll probably be a good $2-3k job but will look good as new.
 
I keep a 38 special in my car at all times. It actually fits in the upper party of the middle console. Fire one in the air and everyone will clear.
