370z megan exhaust

I saw somewhere that a member has a 370z megan exhaust modified to fit their car but can't remember who it was.
I'm pretty sure it fits because the g37 axleback does. I initially wanted to buy that but I hear it isn't much louder than stock.

The 370z exhaust appears to be the same muffler with an addition of a midpipe.
It sounds bad on the 370z though.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q20u3wU_7n4

A sound clip on a fx35 would help.

Thanks

I think you're referring to me... I have a catback Megan exhaust custom fit for my FX50S with an extra set of resonators. I'll post a soundclip when I get a chance - it sounds pretty awesome on a V8, not sure how it'll sound on a V6 though.

Cool. Thanks.
I know the midpipe and muffler tips were too short, but were there any other fitment issues?

You're exactly right... I ended up having some exhaust tips welded on, and the tailpipes aren't perfectly straight, but you can't really notice it unless you're looking at it anally.

Could you post a sound clip? please!

I'm deciding whether to get your set up, the g37 megan axleback alone, or just use the tanabes I purchased a while back.

i'll try to post a clip when I get my car back from the shop. It's been getting repairs for the past 2.5 weeks for a break-in several months ago... $10,084 in repairs for cosmetic damage to the interior and exterior of the car!!! Good thing I have insurance. Can't wait to get it back - the Nissan Altima rental is killing me, even though it's not a bad car for what it is.

Save yourself 10K, CHL, and 9.00 box of shells... (Joke)... Hope your FX is just like new when you get it back. Is it at Sewell? They are great.

Yeah, Sewell is fixing it. Good to hear!

Not much happened to the car, the driver's side window was smashed in by prying against the b pillar with a crowbar but the interior was all scratched up cuz the window was tinted and pushed in. $10k to fix the B pillar, chrome trim around the window, and for scratches to the leather on the door handle, driver's seat, steering wheel, center console. They're basically replacing everything to fix some minor gouges/scratches in the leather. Should've kept the money and super glue/black markered it all myself.
