I just did a boatload of maintenance on my FX this weekend and the write-ups and posts saved me a ton at the stealership. Here's what I did:

Replaced spark plugs with Denso Iridium plugs
Cleaned k&N airfilter
Cleaned throttle body
Drained and replaced coolant
Drained and replaced ATF
Drained and replaced rear differential oil
Replaced power steering fluid
Oil change

And threw in a bottle of Sea Foam for good measure. Knocked all that out in about 5 hours. Runs better than ever and actually averaged 26 mpg on the way home (about 45 miles @ 60-70 mph). Up next on the list is a Stillen Intake and Osram HID bulbs. Thanks again InfinitiScene!

As far as intakes go, the Stillen is your best option. Not sure about the bulbs.

Stillen is a great intake, can't justify the price of Osram 66240 5000K D2S CBI HID bulbs though...

Osram is good quality, but Morimoto bulbs are nice and $60.

Stillen CAI is nice. I once had it in my FX35.

I have the Osram bulbs and their the best bulbs I've used period. The Morimoto bulbs are nice but the color is no comparison with the Osram CBI bulbs. The Osram CBI bulbs have 200 more lumens than stock bulbs and it is noticeable. The color is perfect. On the HID forums these are by far everyone's favorite.


Of coarse quality and performance comes at a high price. The bulbs cost $195 for a pair if you use the discount code. With out the discount code they cost like $250. Be careful where you buy them though there is a lot of fakes out there made in china. Never buy them on eBay.
