GEE35FX's Route 66 Road Trip

Thanks Jonas, we just got into Grand Junction, Colarado a couple of hours ago.
This trip has been a blast.
Also we have recieved a lot of great compliments about the FX, people are always asking about it.

Left Grand Junction, Co this morning and had a nice drive into the Rockies. Had lunch in Vail, they even had their snow making machine blowing snow onto one of the runs.
Checked into a hotel in Frisco, the altitude here is just over 9,000 feet. The temp right now is 36F and tonight it is going down to 21F. Time for a swim.

Stayed last night in the mountains at a friends place that I met in Mexico, had a great time. They even prepared a nice Elk dinner for us last nigh, and wow was it good.
After a nice breakfast we drove through the rest of Colorado, and into Kansas today. we are at a Hotel in Hays, Kansas.
Tomorrow we head for Kansas City, Missouri for a day or two.

We have put over 6,000 miles on the FX so far.

Karen and I got to meet blueduck1105, Andrew.
It was great to meet you Andrew, thanks a bunch for everything, and we appreciated you taking the drive to Joliet from Chicago to meet up with us, love your lighting and your FX sounds sweet.
We took a few pics in the parking lot but the lighting was not to good.

Got back about half hour ago! Drive was a breeze. It was awesome finally meeting Wayne and Karen! They are both super amazing people and probably the best couple I've ever seen! Thanks for taking some time to make me apart of your trip. Like stated the lighting wasn't that gat but we still got a few shots in which was great.

Ouh, a ninja meet! Anyone receive an invitation? Glad you all get to meet up. Wayne and Karen are indeed friendliest people.

Glad it was an easy drive home Andrew. Again, it was very nice to meet you (love that remote start of yours)

Today Karen wants to go back to the Route 66 Museum in Joliet, then we will head to Plymouth Mi for a couple of days. I want to pick up 2 fishing rods that thy have at Gander Mtn in Novi, Mi tomorrow.
