Quick question. Those of you with stock 20's, do you have a lot of road noise from the tires or did the dealer not align mine correctly? It almost sounds like wheel bearings, its a hum hum hum hum noise at freeway speeds. Its definitely the tires, just dont know if its normal for the size or if I should pay for an alignment.

where is the sound coming from?... front or rear?.. rotate your tires to see which tire is making the noise if it is your tires..

Its all of them, thats why im thinking it might just be normal road noise. I just got the fx in the spring and it had new tires on it, the noise has always been there. I just always owned cars previously and am not used to the sound.

what brand of tires are they? how much thread is left? maybe time for you to buy new ones.. i did on mine and the sound went away.. also i brought it to pepboys first to have the wheel bearings check for $20.. all my bearings turned out fine..

Toyo's... brand new. Maybe it is the alignment then since yours went away. Ill have it checked. The dealer put them on... they probably cut cost corners by not aligning the damn thing

mine also sounds bad in 2 wheels
i when i rotated them i ws better but eventually its back to noisy
I need to change tires but will do next yr
trying to squeeze another year off them

Man, it turned out to be the ubiquitous hub problem. I tried to deny it, had it aligned, steering rack tightened, tires rebalanced. All the tread was fine as the tires are new and my guy told me it may just be the tires since the tread is real aggressive. NEGATIVE... quick trip to the dealer and they said both front hubs were shot. (at 45k). Thankfully I had an extended warranty, so after a few hours in a dealer Altima and 100 dollar deductible I get the car back and it is quiet as hell.... all i hear now is wind and exhaust. The dealer even waived the troubleshooting cost since the warranty wouldnt cover that either. Technician said those hubs are notorious in the Muranos too.
