Hi guys,

I am looking to buy a performance chip to boost HP and possibly better MPG on my 2007 FX-35. Any recommendations on brands ? Send links if possible, thanks !

Unichip seems popular here.

Uprev's oisiris is popular with most nissan guys. I know a lot of Titans dropped unichip for uprev.

I'm running uprev myself.

I've read on some Titan forums where they were disappointed with the Unichip because they were running base maps and not custom maps for their specific setups. I still need to re-tune my Unichip now that I am done with all of my performance mods. Peter, we also found a local AWD dyno that has a great price for four runs. We plan on making a dyno meet there when we have our custom maps made.

Uprev and Unichip have their strengths and weaknesses, and they are easily seen in a simple feature comparison. For my situation (amateur tuner, constantly tinkering, etc...) Unichip was/is the better option and its never really made a bit of difference to me what a bunch of other people with completely different cars may use at a given time. The bottom line is that if you have the will to learn and/or a tuner nearby who knows what he/she is doing, both options can provide equally excellent results.

100% let me know. I'll join that meet in a heartbeat. I'm still adjusting my map.

What's the name of the shop?

This is very true. Most cases its not about the product but the support. You read and learn about timing, injector rates and etc all the same and apply it. I made my own map with uprev and while its running better and faster then stock its far from good. But without a dyno plot, I have no clue. Im going to guess andy is the local tuner for the Chicago unichip group. But I would like to compare notes on tuning

Peter, I'm far far from a tuner. I like to thinker with it though. I will have to take note from you on that matter since you have made your own map

Anyone can build a map, problem is making gains. I have no clue if I'm making any gains aside from my dyno butt. I still get a lean fault from my HFC. So I'm not adding enough fuel or adjusting the injector multiplier.

No wideband afr gauge?

Nice. So u guys have a form of launch control!

Yes. Set max revs to ~3500 in one map, mash the throttle then toggle into the normal map when ready. I don't have enough maps to spare though, and haven't dragged in a couple years.

That wouldn't work very well with an auto transmission...
Why not? Just keep the brake on. It would be the same thing as launching normally, but now you don't have to guess at the target RPM, and you can be full throttle from the start.
