cracks on my dashboard

really upsetting... just noticed these cracks on my dash. its been kinda hot these few months so Im guessing the heat may be the culprit. now that I have these cracks how do I prevent it from spreading?

i know about the bubble issue but i dont think thats the case here? ive had the car for about 6 years and I believe its still the factory dash. called nissan consumer affairs today and said warranty ran out last year.
 
Those cracks are pretty bad. Schedule an appt with your local Infiniti dealership and have them attempt to apply the "bubble issue" replacement program. I believe it's an open 8 yrs program.
 
I completely feel your pain, my 03 cracked last month in the exact same two spots, far pass side by the speaker. It was so hot with multiple 100+ days. Thought for sure it was the heats fault, very angry! Now sometimes I am also hearing a very faint squeak comming from the front center dash. Gerrrrrr! I am also going to see if the dealership will help cover this somehow. I will post some pics tonight when I get home, swear It's almost identical.
 
I think the problem might be that he has an '03 so the 8 years ran out in '11. Maybe that's why his dealer told him the warranty ran out last year.
 
da mayor - my car is a 2003 and just got back from the dealer, they told me the warranty ran out in 2011. Is there still a chance?
 
another odd thing happened at the dealer if i may add. again after calling Nissan Consumer affairs they made me aware of a recall campaign of my tail lights and head lamps about possible defects, mine looks fine. dealer pulls up the record on the computer and says it was replaced already back in 2007. called nissan consumers affairs again and confirms it has not been done? I mean if i could get new tails and head lamps that would be awesome... so now what?
 
whats the defect with the headlamps, and how can I find if mine were changed? It might be on the carfax report right? Ill have to check it.
 
im not sure Nissan consumer affairs would not give me specifics. you can call them and find out if your car has an open case, just have you VIN # ready... you can reach them at 800-662-6200.

Yes they unfortunatly are correct. Some 03/04 ish only did a 8yr factory campaign. Now on some of the newer one they realized the problem was bigger that they thought so they extended it I think maybe up to 15 yrs 1million miles. Thats what my service writer just told me! Mine dash was replaced in my 06 as long with the headlights. But now im having problems with my rear tails?

Hey no problem. I would just cause hell with them, and thats coming from the "inside" truth. There is absolutly no reson they shouldnt process your claim. Hech what a few more dashed, obviously they didnt have their you know what together back in the day. Good luck to yall though!
