Saw a YouTube video of the install. It doesn't show every single step but worth the watch.


It's in Russia. Seems like Russians really love the 2nd generation FXs alot, I mean alot! They go crazy with the custom bumpers and bodykits, take them on offload courses, and I'm pretty sure their MSRP cost way more than what we pay for in North America.
 
Wow...those fog light surrounds look even worse up close. =P

But glad to see that the camera works. Love the new front end overall!
 
I tried order the stuff and the guy at parts told me you need to buy the camera too and that the front camera on the 09-11 mounts differently since it in the emblem.
 
russians buy the fx used and only used then ship it to their country, i remember back in 06 my dealer was swept by russians who bought 20+ preowned fx's
 
Some do and some buy in quantity so they have a guy or the buyer actually visits to approve certain transactions. They usually take the car apart and ship it that way, and once they recieve the car they assemble them back, either they sell at a car lost used or they keep it.
 
Has anyone done this mod yet? Any news on the front camera situation?

I did some searching and found a thread on infinitifx dot org where a 2010 owner did the '12 conversion and stated only the grille and bumper are needed. The fog bezels are optional.
 
Do people really like the look of the facelift that much, or do they just want to upgrade it to look like the newer model? (or do the russian resellers do this to sell them as newer cars)

For some reason I thought you had a 2013...never new you upgraded the bumper. That's awesome!
 
In my case, the body shop and my dealer were unable to get the '12 camera to work with the '09. (Not only with the new spot it's in but couldn't get the camera to be recognized by the older computer) My old camera was still working, so they used that one. Which reminds me that I have a '12 front camera sitting in my front passenger side door compartment.
 
You have to buy new camera but you can calibrate the camera yourself. It take about 3 min

There no way to use 2009 camera with 2012 grill because the mount kit are different. You can not take the mount kit of the camera.
