I'm shopping for a 2009-2010 CPO FX35.

I noticed that they got rid of the steering wheel flappers in the 2010's (exclusively for the FX50's). Any other notable changes?

After talking to a few dealer reps, I'm getting different responses regarding bluetooth and ipod integration. I take long trips frequently and would like to be able to manage my ipod/iphone from the center console.

Do ALL 2009 up models offer this function?
OR Do 2009 models require navi to get bluetooth and ipod?
Which cable do i need?
Are all models equipped with BOSE systems from the get go?

2009's are better thn the 2010 models. They got rid of too many standard equipment.

09 FX35's come with paddle shifters. Their not called steering wheel fappers lol.

To get the Bose system and iPod integration you need the premium and navi package. Otherwise you don't get it.
 
What does streaming Bluetooth do for mister wiggles?

Fire0nic. What else did they get rid of in the 10 models that came standard on the 09s?

I just want a difinitive answer if I get an 09 or later model fx I will be able to hook my iPod or iPhone up to it and be able to fiddle through my playlists via center console. I do not want just an aux input. That's soooo 1998 :)
 
Get the 2010 because they fixed a lot of bugs, is newer, and will have the usb plug for your iphone and is the best year period ha. Streaming BT is a great plus for music.. You can stream music via BT, ie Pandora and music files.

haha I forgot the 2010 models came with anti scratch panels with the auto clean function :wink (2):

Just looked at my window sticker mister wiggles lol ipod and bluetooth come in the premium package. So no you don't need the navigation package to get it. Just need the premium package.
 
There are a few more differences between the year models.

2009: - FX35 and FX50 came with paddle shifters standard
- Compact flash slot in audio/nav unit

2010: - Only FX50 Sport package has paddle shifters
- Navigation is hard drive based, where as 2009 has an extra DVD unit in the center armrest console for the maps.
- Navigation screen is higher resolution compared to 2009, I don't know the exact pixels
- The front seat heat/cool knobs have been updated
- USB slot for iPod connection

2011: - Power rear lift gate

2012: - Refreshed front bumper, grill and foglight housing
 
I also believe 2009 requires a dealer visit to update the nav maps. 2010+ you can do it yourself with a disc.
 
I say get what your budget will allow, with the options you want. All of the 2nd Gens are winners (of course the 1st Gens are winners also) if you want paddle shifters in the newer models, you can have them installed
 
For 2011, the power tailgate was a mid-year running change. Most of the 2011s are power, but not all of them.
