Scratch on interior door trim

I would make him replace them no matter the price. When you have something done at someone's shop and your paying high prices you expect quality work.

Ridiculous he is even in business. Rule number 1 to even owning a business is taking responsibility in your mistakes along the way. Sure he'll probably lose a customer, but its better than gaining a bad name for yourself all together.

I plan on it. If he refuses, I'll take him to small claims court to try and recoup my losses.

Strange thing is he came highly recommended and has been in business for many years. I'm hoping he comes through and makes good on the damage.

Aaron,

Just figured I'd update...

The real reason I was getting blown off was the shop was swamped around the holidays and the owner had lost a few people and was just overwhelmed. He asked me to wait until after the holidays and he would make it right. So I stared at the scratches for a MONTH. It killed me!

Last week he tried a product that he thought might help...basically a leather treatment. It helped a little, but still wasn't right. So, he pulled off the door panel and sent it to a guy who does leather and vinyl repairs on exotics. It came back looking absolutely new and was installed Saturday. So, quite the saga but it all was resolved.

Wish you knew how they fixed it I have some scratches I'd like to fix as well.
