wussup everybody i was curious if anybody has had this problem....i have a 2010 fx35 and have had problems with the car starting for about a year, the dealer has replaced the battery twice but nothing has changed at all, it takes about 7 attempts sometimes for the car to start and it usually sounds like its struggling, if the start catches for a lil bit and im able to mash the gas it then starts.....sounds familiar to anyone?

thanx alot.....do u have any idea how i can get the dealer to look further? ive been back numerous times and they keep replacing the battery

Does it start sometimes and then dies down?

If it does that it's an issue with the throttle bodies. They need to be cleaned out.

Welcome to the forum. Hopefully you can find the solution to this soon. Which dealer are you going to? Might be time to try another one. We have so many in the Metro area.

that video seems exactly what it looks like... thanx for that! and i go to kings infiniti in brooklyn i was thinking of trying somewhere else, is there any one in particular you would recommend ?

Infiniti of Masapequa lol at the spelling... Ask for Kenny, he's damn near the owner and an :iS2: member.

Ughhh Kings Infiniti? I heard sooooooooooooo many bad reviews about that place including bad sales and service. My friend Will use to be a service advisor over there a longggg time ago and hated that place.

Go to Infiniti of Massapequa. My friend Kenny over there works in sales. Ask for Tom in service and they will take care of you. If yours is acting the same way as that one in the video it's definately a throttle body problem. They tend to get dirty alot and just need some cleaning that's all.

If you want you can clean them yourself. I made a DIY guide on here on how to do it:

thank u all and i highly doubt i will b doing anything myself lol, is the cleaning something that will b covered by warranty or would i have to pay for it?

You can try to warranty it since you have the symptoms and have a history of repair.. In the end they may make you pay for the induction service..

Yup they may make you pay since it's a service just depends. I'd just explain to them that it's effecting the cars functionality, thus making it a warranty repair.

since I've owned the FX, it did that once one day several months ago. I still haven't cleaned the throttle bodies. Will one day soon hopefully.

how many miles do you have? Are you running any engine filters other than stock or a different intake?

my dealer told me the induction service is a waste of money...says they remove the throttle bodies and clean by hand...says the induction at the end the TB are all dirty still...he's checked them afterwards.

i have around 25000 miles and i cant remember my mileage when it started but its been a while, they 1st replaced the battery and nothing changed, then 1 day i was driving and the car would leave 2nd gear....i had to shut off the car and then restarted it and it drove fine but the non starting issue continued, when i went to the dealer i complained about both issues and the rep said that it was related, they supposedly fixed it but still wasnt starting, took it back and they said whatever they replaced for the tranny was faulty and replaced it again, the non starting continued, i also noticed that the car would constantly say that the key wasnt in the car no matter if it was in the slot or not, and whenever i shut the car off it would always say that it wasnt in park, they attempted to fix that twice and finally got it right but then also claimed that the car would start correctly because this has to be it...lmao it wasnt...took back the car again the almost kept it for a week just to say they replaced the battery again.....guess what???? still no fix
