Hey guys, I'm just trying to make sure if this fit my 05 fx35. Also, I'll go to snow during winter. Is it better or the MOTORDYNE 5/16" COPPER ISO PLENUM SPACER? Recommendations Please!!! Thanks in advance!!!

Yes, this will fit. I had the same thing on my '04. Personally, I liked this complete replacement unit rather than having a spacer. Plus this stays cool to touch, even while the engine is running. Spacer or complete manifold, it's all about the same really.
 
Yes, it does alleviate the need for a spacer because the KinetiX is raised a lot higher than the OEM plenum. The OEM one has a really sharp cutoff angle, almost looks flat. You will be able to use the engine cover unless you make a spacer and raise the bolts up a bit too.
 
from what I read in the past, the motordyne 5/16 has the best performance (within the low RPM band). if you are getting a deal with the kinetix, then you might want to consider a new gasket when installing.

would it be matter in the snow?
 
Why would snow/winter be a concern? You worried about the effect of extreme cold on this item? I don't think you should worry. I had it last winter in Chicago and it was fine.

Coz I've read some posts saying that it's better to get the copper spacer for people who are living in snowing area. So, I'm assuming that it would be a problem with it.
 
FYI, using both the new plenum and a spacer together will hurt your performance so stick with one or the other.
 
This is a cool looking plenum I currently am running this. The sound most definitely changes it gets a little louder and sounds cool and I would much rather pay for the whole plenum rather than a thick gasket(spacer) which is basically the same price. The gains were minimal just sounds a little louder and looks nice when you pop open that hood. ;)

Doesn't the engine cover go over the plenum covering it?

I'm living in the bay area, but I always go snowboarding during season. If I decided to use the spacers, would Motordyne 5/16 Iso Thermal Plenum Spacer (for driving in sub-freezing climates) be good enough? Or should I get the copper (for cold weather) one? Or even I should simply just get the basic one? Also, what size is better, 1/2 or 5/16?
