Damaged Rim – can it be fixed??

Look at the surprise I got after coming home after a business trip.
Let me say that I’m not a happy camper with the wife tonight….

I think I’m lucky and its only cosmetic damage, the RIM isn’t bent from what I can see and the tire (which is only 3 weeks old has no physical damage).
Anyone have any experience how to get this fixed?? I have a tire shop I’m going to contact tomorrow and ask them for a quote…

Doesn't look bad at all. You'd be surprised what all they can fix.

Check out a wheel repair place, not a tire place.
 
It can be fixed. They will sand, fill, and refinish the rims. Only downside is since the rim color is a metallic hyper silver it will never match the other 3 rims perfectly depending on how you look at it.
 
Yes definitely can be fixed as others had said. You can google "how to fix curbbed wheel" and you get some DIY. Or ask your local shop and get a quote.
 
Easy fix BUT the secondary option is to let it ride and never let her live it down =).....maybe the guilt factor will heighten her awareness and keep future damage to a minimum.
 
I had a few areas on my rims when I got my fx used last year and after a few detailings I can't even notice them anymore.
 
I know how you feel bruh. My wife curbed my 22's before i mounted my 24's going through a drive through. I was not happy to say the least. Good luck with the fix.

I went through the Taco Bell drive through last week and was 1 inch away from curbing the rims. Thank god for the around view monitor lol. Got to hate drive throughs.....

i do the same lol i love the around view monitor, i use it like a video game and just look at the screen at time when goin tho drive through.
 
Do you all have the hack for the AVM? For those of you using to getting around drive-thrus?

Just my update - my winter tires are back on.. I should get the rim back next week.

I'll post an after pic to see if we have discoloration etc..

I'm crossing my fingers... for my wife sake.. ;)
