Anybody ever heard of rent a wheel? I was surfing online and noticed that these guys are renting wheels with a weekly payment and an option to buy or switch them up after a while. Im thinking theres gotta be a catch somewhere

Rent to own is rarely a sound financial move...then again...neither is half the mods I choose to do. :tongue (2):

I was actually debating this idea with a friend the other day. Seems like a doable business plan in theory, but the logistics would sink it.

My brother used this actually recently. They give you a per week price for renting. But they also give you a 90 day same as cash purchase price. From what my brother told me, with wheels, tires, mount, balance, the 90 day purchase price was a really good deal. So that's why he went there. Just make sure you pay it off in 90 days otherwise you're screwed.

Yeah they probably hit you with an astronomical interest rate after that. Im curious though as to how it works when people keep trading them in and getting new ones

I don't understand why people buy used tires either, but there are plenty of stores that sell them.

alot of people buy them cause no money to pass safety, lease about to expire, or just plain waiting for car to die but need tires lol.

I bought used tires once. Saved lots of monies. Still have the fronts actually.
