K&N Air Intake installation for my FX50 !!

One thing I learned is to never keep stuff out in the open. Not even a charging cable. If they see a charging cable they assume there is some electronic device easy to steal somewhere else in the car.

My brother in law left a small cup with quarters in plain sight and had his window broken for them. They'll take anything.

That sucks man sorry to hear that.

Did insurance replace the interior parts that were damaged?

Thanx guys. Yeah, i'm working with my insurance to cover the damage to the car. I just need to get an estimate and submit it to the insurance company. Fortunately, my deductible is really low so it shouldn't cost me much money, just a lot of time. As for the stuff that was stolen, I had a few other items that I don't care about that was covered under my homeowner's insurance, which will pay for a new radar detector. Sucks neither car insurance or homeowner's insurance will cover the radar detector though.

Guys, I hate to be negative but putting the combustion air inlet directly into the hot cooling air stream will cost you about 1% / 10 Degrees F! I assume the MAS or oxygen sensor will sence this increase in ambient air temp or decrease in A/F ratio and de fuel the injection quantity accordingly. At best, if you insist on K&N filter media, use the model that replaces the factory filters directly and gain back the loss due to increased combustion air temp. People should question why the Nissan engineers went through all the trouble and cost to design the intake system the way it is as OEM.

Let us know how it dynos if you still dyno it. I would go uprev all the way, I have my boosted g tuned with uprev, also if you get the tuner version for your self there are a lot of adjustments you can make outside of the tune, like tranny etc.

sorry about the break in

Was thinking the same thing. The stock inlet already gets the coldest air it can, the only advantage I can see to the OP's set up is if it drops that much less pressure relative to the gain in temperature it might see.
