New Member-in the process of buying my new EX!!

I just bought my FX last month and negotiated as well as arranged all financing over the phone. I purchased from a dealer in NJ and all I had to do was go pick up the car (one visit!) so it can be done if coming from out of state. I did finance through the dealer, not using Infiniti financing, but used Chase bank through them. Let me know if you have any specific questions on the process.

Did you have a chance to test drive it before buying it all?? That is wat I am worried about? Also does infiniti offer good rates through their financing or better through individual banks

I test drove it when I got there before I put my signature on any paperwork :)

But I had test driven several locally, so I knew what i was in for when I got there and knew how it should feel. The fact that the car was CPO made me feel a lot better about it as well. The rate I got from the private bank (Chase) was the same as was offered by Infiniti on a CPO vehicle, 1.9% on a 36 month or 2.9% on a 60 month (with excellent credit of course).

Oh wow thats terrific and yes thats what they told me :) What year is your FX- and what kind of things are offered with a certified car versus a non certified one?? I get the extended Power train warranty correct?? And what is covered?

OT:

Nice wheels sideswipe.. Looks like lss 10's.. would have been better in 22's, but still a nice wheel.

Thanks man, they are the LSS-10s..i considered 22s long and hard (and they probably would look better) but I was concerned about the ride and potholes here in NYC, plus I got a smoking deal for them from some dude on CL...$1100 with tires...btw, thanks for all the help in the other thread :)

Well I just looked that up and that sounds great. But where does it detail what is covered??

Youre right, it doesnt say exaclty whats covered. I'll have to check the paperwork they gave me when I get home. If you need the info right away, call a dealer, Im sure they will be able to tell you over the phone.

i think the cpo is good if the used ex you are buying are out or nearly out of the basic warranty. check and see the remaining warranty on the ex. in my bro's purchase, he decide to get one that is not cpo after we found out that there is still 1.5yr/30+k miles remaining on the original warranty. if i am not mistaken, the 72/100 overlaps the original warranty so it is good to know exactly how much more years/miles the cpo is providing vs the additional cost from a non cpo.

That makes sense-this specific one only has about 9 months left on the warranty?? Do you think I should get the extended??

I attempted to bargain with the guy-via email because I wanted to be sure that I had the deal squared away before I even started my 3 hours drive to NY :) (Very excited - sarcasm) and he said the lowest they could go was 200$ off the asking price?? I dunno but i dont believe this one bit!
