For those of you that have lowered their fx, how much does it cost to Install springs?

your camber will be off, and your tires will wear improperly, there is still no cambet kit.

For the price, i know the 1st gen was a simple install, as for the 2nd totally diff suspension, you go the wishbone and etc. So might be more expensive, usually its from 200-350

Free on my end. Did them with a buddy at my house. The rear is so easy... if you can change your oil you can swap the rear springs. As for the front you'll need a strut compressor. I'd recommend having a reputable shop in your area do them because it can be sketchy with all the compression.
As far as price I would agree with Dracula .. maybe a little more. I got quoted around $300-400 from a guy I know but that was like $50 per hr (rate) with 6 hours of labor. Reason why I just installed myself.. save money and its a learning experience.
Also don't worry about the camber that everyone's talking about. Its worth it in the end :top:

Thanks for the info guys, I'm actually working with kinetix and purchased some camber arms from them. I'm going to test fit a front and rear camber kit that they said should work on the 2nd gen fx S51 chassis next week when I lower my fx, I'm crossing my fingers and hope it works. If it works it will be all smiles and that way we can all get past this negative camber issue :)

I put shorter springs on a Mustang I once had. Me and my brother did it without any spring compressors. We used a floor jack, and it was sketchy. I remember the spring wanting to come flying out when I relieved the compression. My brother held on to it. It was not a smart method but one he had done numerous times. Next time, I will use a spring compressor.

Keep us updated on the camber kit ....and post pics after the drop

For a mustang up to 2004 you do not need a spring compressor. The coil is not on the strut
