Optimum Opti Coat 2.0 Permanet Paint Coating

Don't know if any of you ever saw this but it's basically almost like adding a second clear coat to your ride. It's a clear resin that you apply by foam applicator and dries clear and is invisible. It's almost like putting wax or sealant on your car except this lasts forever. It's actually more durable than any wax because it resists scratching on the clear. I've read some reviews on it and people say it's the perfect product for cars the have soft clear coats like Infiniti and Lexus. And it will prevent future swirling and scratches. I've seen detailers use this stuff on black GTR's because their known for having ultra soft clear coats.

Only downside to this is that you must make sure the paint is defect free otherwise anything under the Opticoat application will be sealed under it.

After reading many good review on it, I'm going to try this stuff out on my FX this Spring! :top:

One of the best top coats out there. Expensive though, but works great. Just make sure you apply it correctly, even it out and let it cure.

No, I'd be too nervous, I thought I remembered that they wouldn't even sell it to just anyone at first, but that's not how it is now so I'm not sure.

I guess I could do a panel at a time and be okay, but I'd be nervous about missing a spot and having it cure too thick. I don't know if I can get good enough lighting in my garage. Would just have to move my utility lights around the whole vehicle.

Granted this was a long time ago, but I bought into an acrylic sealer, similar to this. It looked like CRAP, dulled the paint, had major drips, and worse off, would NOT COME OFF! Good thing I put it on my Chevy Beretta!

This is a buddy of mine, been detailing forever, and test for Optimum among other companies. Unfortunately he doesn't have a vid of him applying, but here's the first version of Opti Coat after almost 2 years.
