Here is what is keeping me from ordering on my 2nd gen and would like clarifications and discussions among the members:

I've heard enough about all the good this mod does, now I want members to spill on the bad just so we know.

1. If a simple inexpensive mod does this much stability, rollover less likely, etc why would SUVs not have this? Manufacturers are constantly trying to address better handling of rollover type situations especially with SUVs. Better question: why wouldn't a sports SUV such as a FX50S that spends so much money on brakes, the crazy crazy suspension, among other things, but then leave out a bar that would cost them nothing but you guys are saying does so much? The answer is not cost savings....there is much more than that and would like to know why such high end SUVs, porches cayenne turbos, Fastest jeep in the world SRT8, etc etc etc are not even including these in their production lines. Maybe only the engineers know..maybe the body takes more abuse over time, maybe something else. I don't know.

2. No 2nd gen owner has mentioned anything on this thread about how this strut top bar will not be flush when installed. Whether it be a problem or not (really based on member's opinions - some say is a problem others will say not and other members will modify it to make it sit right). I would think a bar that is supposed to provide stability and lock each end in place should not be bolted on crooked and/or not flush. Did the manufacturer not design it for this model then and just took an outline from another SUV and using it here? I have talked to several members through PM or in person about these concerns and issues that were brought to my attention, yet none of it is brought to light on this thread and I'd like some discussion related to that so all members are aware of potential downsides and know what they are getting themselves into. This is even more warranted since Koso isn't confirming a fit and didn't go through the due diligence this time of making sure first it fits correctly by allowing a member to test first before issuing a group buy.

I can speak to point #1. MONEY. It costs the manufacturers too much money to put them on. Even performance cars typically do not have these.

Example is the 2003-2004 Cobras. Supercharged (390hp) and the original chassis design comes from a 1979 Mustang without much improvement. Only the Cobra convertibles had bolt on subframe connectors (a must for unibody sports cars). When I asked some of the SVT engineers, they simple said the part that draws attention is the power and styling. This is where they are going to put the money into. In addition, not everyone is going to drive like a bat outta hell which stresses the point "let's make the car good enough but not great". Most people won't notice a difference.

When it comes to safety, manufacturers just want to edge out the competition. This way they can claim to have the "Safest Car". Otherwise, all cars would come standard with Roll Cages.

the Jeep SRT8's have a strut tower brace factory, The factory installed them differently, they are a 3 point brace. Most of the high end ones, cayenne's ect have them, however they are covered up from the factory right next to the firewall.

I will let the other members discuss the other questions you had.

If I went with EVERY product I carry and sent one item out for " Test fitting " I would have to fork out well over 100K for all the parts, I'm a Dealer for the parts, I have installed GTSPEC bars in other cars, just not the FX's yet. I carry there product because of there background of how good of reviews they have, I will not carry something if I can't stand behind it.

Seeing all the messages I have been getting about you guys wanting these, and how many people have them and say how much the LOVE them, I went based off that to do a group buy.

GTSPEC has a full warranty on there items, so if there is a defect in it, they will stand behind it.

Can confirm srt8 jeeps come with strut bar that actually is visible. I think some manufacturers either opt out for not having one or their more hidden

I believe the Nissan 370z comes with a Factory Strut Bar.

You are correct the 370 comes with a triangulated strur brace factorty equiped...the 350Z,Sentra SER and GTR also come equipped with strut braces

out of the thousands i've spent over the years modding my rides, the 25.00 ebay strut bar i bought for my maxima was the best bang for the buck.
