You need to watch some of the stuff on eBay! I'm not saying everything is sketchy, as there are some real OEM parts on the site, but some are knock-off or after market crash parts. Although they look the same, they may not function the same or not work or last very long. Been there done that! In Virginia we have State Safety Inspections. If the light is on the vehicle it has to work and function like it's supposed to. A cracked lens is not passable. I went through fog lights like a hot knife through butter! All of them had the lens that were part of the housing. Meaning crack lens means replacing the entire light. I've bought some crash parts that melted down within minutes of installing them as they were crap. Meant to be seen and not to work! My Chevy the lights were not that costly at 45 a pop! My Mitsubishi was off planet earth at 350 a pop not including tearing off the entire bumper to replace them. there were no after market parts or crash parts for that vehicle. After round one, I bought the covers to place in the hole to replace the light as the cost was getting out of control and since there were hole the inspector was not going to pass it.
