Park/fog lights??

Hi all, I have a 2010 FX35 that would like to make my FOG/Parking Lights the same color as headlights,knowing the headlights are HID i would like to make the fogs HID as well and make parking lights to the same color, do you guys know the exact color the headlights are (temp k) HID? or have a suggestion HID kit for FOG lights and replacement bulb for parking lights to match. please advise thanks!!
 
4300k for stock.. If ur goin in there to change the bulbs n add a hid kit to the fogs why not change it to a cooler color like 5000k or 6000k
 
keep in mind that although the color might look cooler the higher you go usually produces less light 5k is not a huge jump so it should not matter much this is mainly for those crazies that go to 10k etc haha
 
If your doing 5000k headlights and fogs, also do LED parking and license plate bulbs. Will look real nice

yes may do that, any suggestions on which bulbs for parking and licence plate bulbs and where to get em online?
 
ddmtuning.com is one... i have their HID heads, fog HID kit n DTRL LED bulbs.. they look really nice but the DTRL bulb is more whiter than the headlights
 
I have ddmtuning hid fogs as well, they look great. I got my LED's from VLEDS.com
 
Okay .......... in the short time i've been here on IS i've finally learned not to start yet another thread about " lights " since it's gonna be ummmm " merged " into an exsisting one :smile (2): sooooo i was wondering how important it is to have the lights on in the " square " below ?? It's no where near as our OEM HID's and i'm not sure if i want to change the bulb out where i may be switching it out each time it blows out and whatnot UGH :eek.: !! I figured if my dashboard doesnt light up with error messages then why not just have it ummmmmm " pulled out " ahem ahem !?

You can certainly just pulling out.. Some have replaced it with an led with the color of their choosing.

well, if im not mistaken its just a daytime running light and i dont think its anything important other than aesthetics to be honest.. if i were u, i'd swap it for some super white LED's and do white HID head lights.. just my .02
 
I'd have to go look to make sure, but I think that is the parking light. If you turn your parking lights on, only that bulb and the marker light illuminate. The US-spec 09+ don't have any daytime running lights.

I will agree that they look cheezy next to the HID lights though!

Yeah i thought of getting LEDs but am so afraid of having to replace them every so often cause isnt that what LEDs do ........ blow out ahem ahem :eek.: thus why not make it simpler and not have those on since there's no purpose in them and the front end would look nice with just the HID's on ??

Ohh and remember im very picky so if i dont get the right LED color matcing the HIDs then UUUGGHHHHH i'll be playing that game with those darn bulbs :confused.:
 
Actually LED's last longer than regular bulbs, plus a whole lot brighter
 
Federal law requires parking lights. I'm sure eventually that will go away as they aren't really used anymore.
 
leds on the parking lights would look nice i never noticed are those running lights thats on all the time?? need to check ;-0
