iPhone 4S and Bluetooth

Hi everyone,

Has anyone been having problems connecting an iphone 4s to the in-car bluetooth system. My iphone 4S was working just fine with my 11' FX35, but i don't know what i touched or did, and now it wont work anymore. When i get a call, my phone rings, i can now only answer it on my phone, as soon as i answer it i get a message on the navi screen saying something like the bluetooth device is ready to use, please push the phone button. I push the phone button and nothing happens and i have to proceed to take my call on the phone. I don't even get the option to answer it via the car anymore. Also, the same time this happened, the bluetooth audio stopped working too. I used to be able to stream music via the iphone through the bluetooth and hear it out of my car, but now that no longer works either.

I've tried removing the connection between the phone and the car, no luck. They both say connected when i get into the car. I can see the signal bars, battery, etc on the navi screen.

Has anyone had this problem or can maybe suggest something i can try?

Thanks,

My iPhone 4 worked perfectly before updating to the most current iOS version at the time (5.0.1). After updating, the phone still works with no problems, however the music streamed from my phone via bluetooth is very choppy unless I put the phone directly on top of the navigation screen. Prior to the iOS upgrade, I could stream music while the phone was in my pocket standing outside of my car. I don't know what changed but it is pretty annoying. I've successfully removed my phone from the car and re-paired with same results. Any "fix" suggestions would be appreciated.

even with the current update i dont have a problem seems to me its ur connection not the car. Possible you might of blocked the connection?

You may want to reset all your network settings on the phone. Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings (Note that you will lose all your stored WiFi & Bluetooth connections when you do this)

I actually started doing that literally 5 seconds ago and am going to try it in my car now. Will post an update if a few minutes.

Resetting all settings did the trick. It works now.
