BC Racing Coilovers Test Fitted and Worked + Camber discussion.

...

I don't want to post up a whole bunch of detailed technical explanations of camber curves and suspension geometry in general because this is probably more than anyone here really cares to know or wants to hear but would be happy to answer any questions anyone has on this subject as much as I can. bottom line is the right replacement arms will allow the static camber specs to come back into range...

So, is the realistic solution a slightly shorter (than oem) and adjustable set of lower control arms?

it's either a shorter lower or a longer upper, usually best to determine by judging what is happening at the axle... if the axle is extending out towards full compression then it would make more sense to pull the lower in to avoid axle over extension, if the oposite is true then may be better to push the upper out, if it's neutral then either way could work. I think from memory that the lower arm on the fx is a beefy piece where the upper is a bit lighter, probably easier to create a new upper than a lower. everything I'm talking about is in regards to the front, rear this can also apply but the rear has 2 lowers and only one upper. another thing to consider is wheel offset. pulling the lower in won't upset the relationship of offset as much as pushing the top out would.

great shot of the BC coilovers.... just curious are you AWD or RWD? because I did the prototype on my RWD M37 but they still haven't released anything for the AWD M37 which people are awaiting for...

if you're a RWD Fx35 now I wonder if it's 100% compatible or not for the FX35 AWD/ FX50's

well guess im gonna call Pete at BC about this... I gave them lots of feedback on the M37 prototype coilovers.... i got the itch

I've purchased Bc-racing coil overs for my Fx 50S. And i've got one problem with instalation:

I need to change ARM ASSY-SHOCK ABSORBER, becouse its' internal diametr is 48,5 mm and diametr of front shoks is 45mm

here is photo of this ARM db79ac96f4d8.jpg

George, who did you order from. We didn't have to replace it on my car.

Sorry to keep you guys waiting, full info will be up soon when we revamp the setup this weekend. :)

The answer from BC-racing UK:

Dear George,

Thanks for your email. We are now producing the new front lower mount for FX50s and it will be tested by BC Racing UK as they have the same issue from a customer who owns a FX50s.

Please let us know the warranty number of your BC coilover kit and where you purchased kit from. You can also directly contact your local distributor or dealer for more information.

Best regards,
