My FX50 makeover Teaser.....

Looks good buddy! I bet it looks even better in person
yeah you'll see it.... btw if you want to come down Wednesday night the JX35 Preview Night is 1-night only 5pm-8pm

Looks sweet! Can you take some pictures of it in the sunlight?
yeah it barely saw the sun today since I picked up the FX and boom it starts to rain for a few hours

So what made you decide to do this one day? :)
I've always done something different and personally I'm just sick of the blue slate color.... remember I'm at the dealership where 40% of G coupes, sedans, and FX's used to be Blue Slate.... thank goodness they are slowly moving away from it

Very cool, you mind me asking what something like that runs?
it's all about the labor and what a shop will do..... it's gonna be around $3000.... some shops will leave lines but if you notice that he did it all in one big piece... the rear liftgate is one huge piece, even the full rear quarter panel is one piece with the roof sideline to the a-pilllar...

also, everything was taken off the car.... roof rails, moldings, bumpers, headlights, vents, etc......

Good info. That's an awesome color. Can't wait to see more.

well big pros..... no more heavy detailing, no more worries about rock chips on the highway drives, original paint is protected if i want to rip it off, and im the only azure blue metallic fx around.

That is amazing! Looks awesome.

Side note, I'm going to the Chicago JX35 reveal this coming Tuesday, pretty excited.

Nice Ed! How did you land that? Is the wife considering?

Been a customer since 1998 there. But I think they just sent it to everyone on their mailing list, got something in the mail to RSVP for the reveal and free drinks and food.

It's the one in northfield, fields Infiniti.

Yeah she saw it and wanted to go. The no V8 option is a big killer for me though. She likes it better than the armada/qx56 first gen.

But it wouldn't be for you but for her! ;) We are looking for lower power that has good gas mileage for Kim so v6 or even v4 would be an option. Right now she has a V4 with a 2.x liter and it's just right for her, but the problem is we'll be having kids in the near future so we are looking for something with 3 rows of seats. My car is way too much power for her and she gets uncomfortable with it. I'm really thinking the Nissan pathfinder might be our choice for her in the fall, but not sure yet...haven't test drove stuff for her yet this year.

Oh my gosh this is absolutely stunning. The wheels are turning in my head now. First vinyl job I've seen that is making me consider something similar.

The vinyl looks beautiful! I would never know if I saw it on the street. Do you know how many man-hours the shop logged for the install?

well do you include breakfast and lunch breaks? I helped take apart the FX and do some vinyl work since I am away on vacation from the dealership...

lets' say about a good 18 hours of labor for vinyl installing, taking apart the FX, etc

all pics taken with my Blackberry Bold.... yes no iPhone or Droid... beeen loyal since 2007

Seen this in person yesterday. The color looks sweet out in the sun!

One thing I notice is the attention to detail done on it. There are no imperfections of bubbles at all! I swear if he didn't tell you it was a wrap, you would think it's painted that way from the factory. :top:
