Problem with DDM Tuning HID Fog Light

This is a post for anyone who is looking to get their OEM fog light bulb change to the HID ones.

Well, I bought my HID 6000K 35W fog light from DDM tuning around this time last year. At that time, most ppl get their HID from DDM or Super Bright LED....

So I got mine from DDM.
US website, so I thought they ship from USA. No tracking number, no shipping notice. I waited like over a month until it gets to Canada. Looking at the box, shipped from China.
I wonder why it took so long to get here.

So I went on and installed it right away. The second day I drive my car, one bulb went off. So I restarted my car and worked again...whatever, maybe a connection problem.
Not a big problem till these days when one of them stop working quite often.(everytime I start my engine, it does not work) I have to turn the fog light switch on and off for several times to get it work. And sometimes it just don't work at all.

PLUS, my roommates white FX which u can see at my garage photos also has a set of HID from DDM. I bought him this set in Nov since he got the new car. BOTH of his fog light is not working at all now!!!! It's only been 3 month...it's unbelievable how bad they are.

So personally, I don't recommend anyone get the stuff from DDM. (any lightning stuff I guess, since i haven't purchase anything else from them).

Just want to share my experience with ppl up here, so u guys don't have to waste your money.

Also, this is the Halo LED kit I got from Brain(KOSO). It's made by Flashtech. I think they are better quality than DDM. I haven't installed them since I got no time during exam period. You guys can take a look at the package and stuff. Have a good day.

LOL what else is new. All DDM products are nothing but garbage. You get what you pay for with all that crap. Their customer service reps are rude and always gave a problem replacing them under warranty and trying to blame me. I use to have their HID kits and went through soooo many of them that by the time I finished buying stuff from DDM trying to save money I could of went to TheRetroFitSource.com and bought a nice Morimoto HID kit for the foglights for $150. Which is what I ended up doing by the way lol.:tongue (2):

Well, I spent almost $90 in total including shipping for each set. If I have read something like I wrote today here, I would never go to DDM. lol. They are in very pool quality and DDM is not being responsible for the product since they get the manufacture directly send from China. That is not a good idea to do business. I am just trying to be polite here. I would never get stuff from DDM again. I'm probably gonna get a better set soon.

Just get a Morimoto kit from matt over at the theretrofitsource. Their customer service is so good they'll even exchange a kit with another if your not satisfied with the color. And always helpful since what they do is majoring in HID lighting only.

Cool, I will get to Matt soon. Thanks for the information. Will post pic when installed.

Hm good to hear. I guess i got lucky and been using my DDM kit for 2+ years with no problems. Bulbs were replaced once before i broke it while taking off the front bumper. Ballasts are still working strong though.

Def will look into morimoto hid kits if the ddm ever fails.

Being on and off for a while now, really frustrated about it....I don't think its broken but made in poor quality....considering my roommate's case, we both are lucky....

I been using DDM kits for years now with no problems, you may have gotten a defective ballast or even bulb.

DDM sucks! Bottom line, and their customer service sucks even more! DDM is one of the reasons the US economy is in the shape its in. Its one thing buying quality products from china, its another being duped into buying Chinese junk from an American seller that leads you to believe you are buying American products. I have had alot of experience with them and would not recommend them!
